We’re excited to announce a very special event in honor of the nation’s 250th birthday!

On Thursday, June 18th we’ll be hosting world class country-folk duo Christian & Cole, preceded by a presentation from the Putnam History Museum on the significance of the Hudson Valley in the Revolutionary War 🥁

Christian & Cole are the NYC-based country folk “super-group” consisting of Christian Apuzzo - stalwart of the NYC bluegrass scene and his partner in rhyme, Cole Quest - leader of Cole Quest and the City Pickers and grandson to folk legend Woody Guthrie.

This concert is not to miss!

The event begins at 6 PM and is free to all. We encourage families to bring a picnic with their favorite food and drinks.

(*Note that public schools have off for Juneteenth the next day, so no need to worry about getting the kids to bed early that night. :) 😄

Enjoy history, harmonies, and a Hudson River sunset with us!

The PHM is now open Wednesdays through Sundays, from 12 to 4PM. Come see our newest exhibitions and learn all about the American Revolution in New York!

John Ferguson Weir’s “The Gun Foundry” recently received a much-needed conservation treatment! Come see the refreshed painting in person at our opening reception this Friday, from 5-7PM!

A big thanks goes to the Greater Hudson Heritage Network (GHHN) whose generous grant funded this project, and to the Highlands Current for covering it!
