This celebrates the late, great Dolly Parton, a champion of youth literacy through her establishment of Dolly Parton's Imagination Library.

In Ohio, September 25 (9 to 5) is now officially Dolly Parton Day! PEP appreciates Dolly's commitment to literacy through her free book program. 📚❤💕

PEP had a busy weekend! After the NAMI Walk on Saturday, we had a great time at the Autism Speaks Cleveland Empower Walk and 5k Run on Sunday, September 20!

therapeutic school serves young people with autism, and the PEP Prentiss staff and their families walked and ran around Wade Oval, and shared information about the important work that PEP does to help young people overcome and thrive.

We're grateful to organizations like Autism Speaks for providing advocacy, services, and supports for people with autism.

PEP was proud to support NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) as a sponsor of the 2026 NAMIWalks Greater Cleveland on September 19. Staff and their families (including a few pups!) participated in the walk at Edgewater Beach to benefit NAMI and its programs.

Many of PEP's students have mental health challenges, and we are grateful for organizations like NAMI that offer support and resources for young people and their families.

⚠️Tomorrow is the deadline to register for "Building Our Classroom Together."⚠️

You can learn effective classroom management strategies and receive hands-on guidance for developing classroom rules and expectations. You'll also explore how to build a conducive learning environment, and how using sequence of engagement - regulate, relate, reason - helps promote student success in the classroom and throughout the building.

Most recently, students at held a Peace Assembly where they shared their Recipes for Peace with their fellow students and staff members. Kindness, courage, patience, love and respect were on everyone's menu.

Students, parents, caregivers, and staff at celebrated the start of the program year with an open house and a rousing game of bingo! Everyone enjoyed refreshments, met PEP Chesnutt staff, visited classrooms, and won great prizes like gift cards and games.

Events like this also help the wider community understand the important work that goes on in PEP schools, and affirms the importance of PEP's place in the neighborhood.
