Laborers Local 860

As National Work Zone Awareness Week concludes, we pause to honor the laborers who never made it home. Their lives were lost in work zone incidents, leaving behind families, friends, and colleagues.

Today, we take a moment of silence to remember these fallen Sisters and Brothers. Our hearts are with their families.

One life lost is one too many. Safe actions save lives. Please, slow down and move over.

Are you operating equipment on the job? You have the power to keep your crew safe. Check your blind spots, get a spotter and drive slow. Ten seconds of caution can mean the difference between a close call and a crisis.

We are looking for looking for experienced concrete laborers, CDL drivers, pipe layers and more. Even if you are not a member of Local 860, but have experience, please contact John Perri or Mike Piccirillo at 216.432.1022, exts. 115 and 117, respectively.

See something, say something! Remember that your voice can save a life. Don't be afraid to speak up if you see a hazard like an unsafe work zone setup, a worker close to live traffic or a backing vehicle without a spotter. Be the lookout. Be the hero. Own the zone!
