From medical care and veteran support to haircuts, hot meals, shoes, and even wellness services — this day is about healing, hope, and human dignity.

Our team in Las Vegas celebrated World AIDS Day with a Motorcycle ride for a Cause.

Our AIDS Healthcare Foundation and BLACC - Black Leadership AIDS Crisis Coalition - Powered by AHF team in St. Petersburg had a World AIDS Day event to raise awareness about HIV and AIDS and honor the lives affected by the epidemic. The Pinellas Planning Partnership came together and offered the community HIV, STI, testing, information ,
kids korner with toy give-away, food , and get a test, get a crab.

Historical Origin: Juneteenth marks June 19, 1865, when Union General Gordon Granger announced the end of slavery in Galveston, Texas, over two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was issued by President Abraham Lincoln on January 1, 1863.

Texas Roots: Texas was the first state to officially recognize Juneteenth as a state holiday in 1980.

Federal Holiday: On June 17, 2021, Juneteenth was officially designated a federal holiday in the United States, known as Juneteenth National Independence Day.
