Congrats to José, recipient of the Outstanding Student in Elementary Math award! José is currently working towards a degree in Math Education, Elementary. José enjoys taking walks around campus, journaling, and spending time with his dog. He would like to thank his advisor, Dr. Winer, his mom, his brothers, and his boyfriend. Congratulations, José!

Congratulations to Nora, recipient of the Outstanding Graduate in Secondary Mathematics award! Nora reflects that her favorite part of attending EWU was volunteering and working with international students from Japan. She admits that getting through college was difficult, but she learned to overcome it by being involved, taking time for herself, and advocating for herself. Nora loves music, reading, learning languages, and going on walks. She would like to thank her sister for helping her through her degree, as well as for all the support she received from the Math Education Department. Nora will begin teaching after graduation. Congratulations again, Nora!
