β Originally from SΓ£o Paulo, Brazil, Officer Reis received a scholarship to attend Lindenwood University in Missouri, where he earned a bachelorβs degree in business administration. π
He later moved to Miami to pursue coaching and personal training but was drawn to a profession where he could protect others and hold offenders accountable. He said heβs grateful for the community he serves and reflected on a heartfelt gesture from a local couple who handmade crochet blankets for his children as a sign of appreciation.
One of the most meaningful moments of his law enforcement career was assisting a special needs child in distress during a call for service - an experience that continues to stay with him.
Outside of work, Officer Reis enjoys spending time with his family, practicing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, weightlifting, and automotive sports.
FUN FACTS: Officer Reis is a proud father of triplets πππβ¦ and a two-time Brazilian Olympic weightlifter! ππ½ββοΈ

Boca Raton Police address recent swatting calls
Boca Raton, FL β Over the course of the last week, Boca Raton Police received several "swatting" calls within the City of Boca Raton. These incidents involved false reports intended to generate a large law enforcement response to locations where no actual emergency existed. Making these calls is a criminal offense, punishable by prison time.
Swatting calls are dangerous, disruptive and a misuse of emergency resources. They create unnecessary fear and confusion for community members and divert officers away from legitimate calls for service.
While we do not wish to cause alarm, we want to reiterate that all reports involving potential threats to public safety are taken seriously. When these calls are received, officers will continue to respond and conduct a thorough check for suspicious or criminal activity.
Identifying the source of these calls is difficult, as these calls are often traced back to foreign countries, and the callers tend to use a VPN (virtual private network) to mask the identity and exact location of the call. These investigations are extensive and time-intensive, and we are committed to pursuing those responsible for these calls to the fullest extent of the law.
Glades Road is a major thoroughfare in this city - people use it to get to and from I-95, with the Town Center Mall to the west of the highway and Florida Atlantic University, downtown and the beaches to the east.
With all of that activity along the road, the speed limit of 45 mph is important to abide by...yet that road is often mistaken for a racetrack.
Recently, Boca Raton Police joined FAU Police Department to further enforce that area, ensuring that drivers don't let their lead feet hit the gas.
Both agencies will continue enforcing the speed limit along this road going forward, as well as other high traffic areas across the city.
