It's Tisha B'av tonight... so what does that mean?
It's the day we mourn both Temples and everything we've lost since. we fast, sit on the floor, read Eicha, and just... feel it.
Our sages say it was destroyed because of sinat chinam [baseless hatred] and will be rebuilt with ahavat chinam [unconditional love].
So your assignment is: do one extra act of kindness today. text someone back, give someone the benefit of the doubt, buy someone's coffee.
What's your act of kindness going to be? drop it below and let's make this comment section wholesome👇

It is never easy to say goodbye.
This week we said l'hitraot to our two beloved shinshinim who have spent the past year with us here in Boca.
These two remarkable young women came to us straight out of high school in Israel. They left their families, their friends, and their homes to spend a year immersed in our Jewish community — and to bring a piece of Israel into our homes, our synagogues, and our children's classrooms.
For the past year, they have done so much more than teach.
They taught our children what life in Israel is truly like. The culture, the spirit, the strength, and the joy.
They celebrated Shabbat and holidays with us, they were there for school programs and community events, and they became part of so many of our families.
They arrived as emissaries. They are leaving as family.
To our girls — thank you. Thank you for your dedication, your grace, your love for Israel and for the Jewish people. You have left a lasting mark on our Boca community, and you will always have a home here.
You will be so missed. We are so proud of you and cannot wait to see all you do next.
Please join me in wishing them well in the comments below. If your family had the privilege of knowing them, I know they would love to hear from you.
Am Yisrael Chai. 🇮🇱

Shabbat Shalom. 💙
This Shabbat arrives during the Nine Days—a time when the Jewish people pause to remember our history, reflect on our values, and consider the role each of us plays in building a stronger future.
Even in one of the most solemn seasons on the Jewish calendar, Shabbat reminds us to slow down, gather with the people we love, and find comfort in community.
May your table be filled with meaningful conversations, your home with peace, and your heart with hope.
Wishing you and your loved ones a restful, reflective, and peaceful Shabbat.
Shabbat Shalom.

When people ask what Federation does, this is the answer.
Through the generosity of our community, children in Israel who are living with the trauma of war will receive the care they need to heal.
We recently received a heartfelt thank-you from ELI – Israel Association for Child Protection sharing that our community's support will help provide more than 10,000 additional hours of therapy every year, reaching hundreds of children whose lives have been forever changed by the ongoing war. Many of these children continue to relive the trauma of October 7 whenever sirens sound or they are forced into shelters. Knowing that compassionate professionals will be there to help them heal is the kind of impact that lasts a lifetime.
This is what your generosity makes possible.
Thank you for standing with Israel—and for standing with its children. ❤️🇮🇱
