What an incredible time we had with our students at the BFF Career and Life Skills Summer Workshop!

As we celebrated Independence Day, we embraced a patriotic theme and reflected on the meaning of true independence. Throughout the day, our students gained practical, real-world skills to help them confidently navigate life beyond the classroom, from personal growth and career planning to financial literacy, health advocacy, and self-sufficiency.

A huge thank you to our special guest speakers and facilitators for investing their time, knowledge, and encouragement in our students.

· Robert Frare and Six20 Partners helped students discover their unique strengths through the Predictive Index Assessment, increasing their self-awareness and deepening their understanding of how their traits translate into the workplace.

· Juan Awad and Orlando R. Nieves from Florida Blue shared practical guidance on understanding health insurance and becoming confident self-advocates.

· Rico Garris empowered students with essential financial knowledge, covering credit, budgeting, and building a strong financial future.

· Dr. Mikayla Kress from Thrive Therapy of Palm Beach wrapped up the day with a calming relaxation activity, leaving everyone feeling refreshed, grounded, and ready for what comes next.

Thank you to all of our presenters and team, for making this workshop such a huge success. We are so grateful for a community that continues to invest in the future of our students!

🚲 We Could Use Your Help! One of our amazing students recently earned her Master's degree & just landed a fantastic job. It is too far from her apartment to ride a regular bike, so we want to get her an electric bike. If you know anyone who has one to donate, please send them our way! During The BFF Summer All Stars, our Grounded for Life students traded traditional classrooms for a high-energy, workshop-style experience where learning met creativity, collaboration, and fun. ⚽️📚

Inspired by the excitement of the FIFA World Cup, we transformed the BFF spaces into an international hub celebrating Canada, Mexico, and the USA.

Our students put in the work to prepare for the school year ahead, building skills in text annotation, GPA tracking, and studying the Declaration of Independence as we geared up for America's 250th birthday.

Of course, it wasn't all work! Weekly icebreakers helped strengthen friendships, and themed lunches kept everyone energized, engaged, and ready to learn.

Our Summer All Stars will be heading into the new school year with new skills, greater confidence, and the tools they need to succeed.

We are so proud of their hard work and can't wait to see them crush their goals this fall!

Learning doesn't stop when the school year ends! ☀️📚 At BFF, summer is another opportunity to keep our students inspired, connected, and engaged. Our coaches are committed to creating meaningful experiences that encourage learning, creativity, and growth all year long.

One of the highlights of our summer sessions was a hands-on sand art activity! Students used colorful layers of sand to recreate the stunning desert landscapes of the Southwest, combining geography, creativity, and interactive learning into one fun project. 🏜️✨

We love creating opportunities for our students to keep learning, exploring, and thriving all year long.

College bound! 🎓 Big milestones deserve big celebrations, and a few shopping carts full of dorm room essentials!

We recently took a few of our amazing students on a back-to-school shopping trip to help them get everything they need for their move to college this fall. From the must-haves to the little things that make a dorm feel like home, we are proud to support our students through every step of their journey.

At BFF, our commitment goes beyond the classroom. We are here to help our students prepare, grow, and succeed through every milestone along the way.
