Supervisor Bobby Hernandez and the Highway Department joined the City of Wood Dale Public Works Open House on Thursday.

The event featured equipment displays, family-friendly activities, and opportunities for residents to learn more about the important work performed by public works departments.

On Tuesday, Supervisor Bobby Hernandez and Township staff attended the Addison Business Exchange networking event hosted by the Addison Public Library.

The event brought together local business owners, community organizations, and government partners to build connections and learn about opportunities available within the Addison community. Attendees also had the opportunity to tour the library's newly renovated facilities and learn about resources available to support local businesses, including Sam's Lab.

📚 Addison Township Senior Learning Series

Thank you to AARP Illinois for recently joining us to present an informative Fraud Prevention Seminar for local seniors. Attendees learned practical tips for recognizing scams, protecting personal information, and avoiding common fraud schemes that often target older adults.

We're excited to continue these educational opportunities through our new Senior Learning Series, which connects residents with valuable information, resources, and services available in our community.

Today, Supervisor Bobby Hernandez attended the Addison Public Library’s Ribbon Cutting Ceremony and Grand Reopening Celebration.

It was wonderful to see such a strong turnout from residents, community organizations, local leaders, and library supporters as the community came together to celebrate this exciting milestone.

The newly renovated library and the addition of Sam’s Lab will provide even more opportunities for learning, creativity, and connection for residents of all ages.

Congratulations to the Addison Public Library Board, staff, and everyone who helped make this project a reality. Thank you for your continued investment in a space that serves, inspires, and brings our community together.

Last week, Addison Township held our Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon to recognize the incredible individuals who give their time to serve our community. We were grateful to have more than 20 volunteers attend, along with Township staff who joined in the celebration.

We were especially proud to honor Linda Oberg with a Volunteer Appreciation Award for her outstanding dedication to the Community Pantry. Linda not only donates essential items to help local families, but she also works tirelessly behind the scenes to support the pantry and those it serves.

Thank you to all of our volunteers for the time, compassion, and energy you give to Addison Township. Your service truly makes a difference in our community.
