Please join us and congratulating June’s ASD4 Difference Makers: Jen Angiulo (Secretary) and Jamie Markopoulos (School Nurse) from Stone Elementary
School.

Principal Smogor nominated these individuals and stated the following:

"Jen Angiulo exemplifies what it means to be an ASD4 Difference Maker. On May 21, when Stone School received an anonymous phone call containing a potential threat to the safety of the building, Jen responded with remarkable calmness, professionalism, and preparedness. Within seconds, she discreetly alerted the school nurse using a color-coded, laminated emergency sign she had created, allowing 911 to be contacted immediately and first responders to quickly arrive and safely evacuate the building. Throughout the incident, Jen remained composed under immense pressure, staying on the phone with the caller for more than 45 minutes while law enforcement investigated and traced the call. Her quick thinking, organization, and unwavering focus on the safety of students and staff were extraordinary and truly demonstrate why she is an ASD4 Difference Maker."

"Jamie Markopoulos is a true ASD4 Difference Maker whose quick thinking, preparedness, and commitment to student safety were on full display during a recent emergency at Stone School. When an anonymous phone call containing a potential threat to the building was received, Jamie immediately recognized the seriousness of the situation and instinctively called 911 without hesitation after being notified by Mrs. Angiulo. Her swift response also alerted the building principal, allowing district officials to be notified in less than a minute after the phone call came in. As the situation unfolded, Jamie's training and preparedness immediately kicked in. As everyone was evacuated, she gathered critical emergency supplies and ensured they were available as students and staff were moved to a safe location. Jamie's calm demeanor, decisive actions, and focus on the well-being of others make her an ASD4 Difference Maker.”

Figuring out what to do for lunch during the summer? We are offering free meals every Tuesday and Thursday until July 30th.

This is open to ALL ASD4 families and the entire Addison community- even if you do not have a child in the district.

OrganicLife will be at Lincoln School every Tuesday and Thursday from 11:00 AM–12:00 PM, handing out lunches to the community from June 2 through July 30.

Kids are welcome to eat lunch and enjoy time playing at the park afterward.
