Lately I have been reflecting on what truly nourishes our sense of well-being. I recently read an article by Dr. Austin Perlmutter, a physician and researcher focused on brain health, in which he shared an observation that stayed with me. He notes that while sleep, nutrition, and exercise all matter, one of the strongest predictors of long-term happiness and life satisfaction is something much simpler: connection.
Many of his patients, he says, donât just feel disconnected from the people around them - they feel disconnected from themselves and from the world they inhabit. Reading those words reminded me why I continue to return to the dance floor and offer spaces where we can rediscover a sense of belonging.
The 5Rhythms movement practice offers us a map for recognizing where we lose touch and how we can gently weave ourselves back into relationship. It is a practice of remembering our place in the web of life. Each breath, each step, each gesture becomes an invitation to reconnect - with ourselves, with one another, with the earth beneath our feet, and with the vastness above us.Â
âDancing in connection with myself, my relations and life itself is a practice that begins with my solid connection to the below and the above... planting my feet consciously on the earth and opening my arms wide to the sun and sky.â

Over the past while, I have been quietly creating something I am excited to finally share with you!
My new website is now live - a fresh home for my work, my offerings, and the threads that weave through everything I love to create: embodiment, movement, connection, and community.
As part of this, I have also created a short video that captures something that feels hard to put into words - not just what I offer, but the spirit of the people who gather. The courage, playfulness, presence, and beauty that emerge when we come together. I have added it for you below to see. Feel free to share it with your friends who might have said to you âWhat kind of dance do you do?â
For me this isnât only a website launch. It feels more like opening the door a little wider and sharing who I am and who I am co-creating with (you!). I am grateful for all the support I have received and want to thank especially Sasha Cooke .connection for holding my hand in this redesign process and creating the new look and feel of the site.
You will find some new offerings, familiar pathways, and hopefully a sense of what lives at the heart of this work. I have  also more clearly outlined my individual session work and the support I offer for those walking a psychedelic healing path - creating spaces for integration, embodiment, and deeper connection to self.
Thank you for being part of this community - whether you have danced with me once, returned over many years, or simply stayed connected along the way. Your presence has shaped me and my offerings more than you know.

Most of you would probably be surprised to hear how much planning and creative exchange goes into the collaborative projects we offer.
Here is a snapshot from an online morning meeting to plan "Four on the Floor", May 15-17 on Salt Spring Island - PJs, coffee and all -- with Shauna Devlin, Chantell Foss and Anne Marie Hogya.
We have 15 spots left for this community centred 5Rhythms dance immersion that includes a catered dinner by Shani Cranston.
At its core, this weekend is about what unites us:
the ground we stand on, the pulse we share, the body that remembers.
Four on the Floor is steady, primal, and collective, one rhythm holding many dancers.
This gathering offers a chance to drop down, root in, and reconnect.

Spring is a time of accelerated growth and an increased potential for co-creating with life - times that often ask us to change. Not just to imagine change, but to step in, step out or even step up.
In the 5Rhythms dance practice we are invited to notice where we hold back, where we hesitate at the edge of expression, where we are afraid to surrender, and where we can lean into opening, even if the future is unknown.Â
When we move in community, each body moving with its own truth, we create a field of encouragement that can support us in this opening and taking the next step.
The dance can become a shared field of blossoming. A space where we remember that growth doesnât have to be forced, but that it can be embodied and supported into being.
I invite you to join me in the dance this month and lean into the resource of community.Â
I believe in our collective blossoming and the ripples of courage and hope we send out anytime we come together to dance in community.
Thank you for being a part of our circle.
âAnd the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom.âÂ

Our UNCOVER Immersion was a deep dive into our psyches and web of relations - past, present and future.
A big thank you to my spirit sister Kylee Dawn for co-creating with me so effortlessly and with such grace. Thank you to Marcia Wakarchuk Jones for her impeccable support and setting the ceremonial container. Thank you to Nogol Mesgarani for creating such transformational art and visual beauty. Thank you to the crew for all the visible and invisible support. Thank you to all the dancers who dove in to move for the healing of all our relations.
May the ripples of our embodied prayers land where they need to.

We look forward to sharing UNCOVER in Vancouver, March 27-29. This 3 day medicine dance immersion is for anyone seeking a deeper connection with themselves, a sense of freedom, and a path to healing.
No prior experience in dance or shamanic work is required, just an open heart and a willingness to explore.
The teachings of the 5RhythmsÂź movement practice and Inner Journeys will support you in accessing a deep state of embodiment, allowing your body to express itself freely and authentically. Movement combined with breathwork becomes a language of the soul, releasing blockages, reconnecting you with your inner wisdom, and fostering a sense of vitality and presence.
