Maintenance time before my winter production work starts. Re-bricking the door and hearth/sill area on the furnace. I've melted 19 tons and made 30,000 items since the re-build in 2021 so it was about time to do a little maintenance work. It's been a great design, I built it on video in 2001 and have melted over 230,000 pounds in it and am a little over 1/2 way through the 4th crucible. What a workhorse it has been!
