Calgary ATV Riders Association

We had 24 units and 31 riders out for our family, intermediate, and advanced club rides on the weekend. A few incidents along the way from a flat tire to a roll over; the flat got fixed and no critical injuries on the roll over. It was a great day for riding with no dust and a little sprinkle of rain occasionally and the puddles were epic! Did we mention no dust?! Thank you to everyone that came out to ride including Basecamp Motorsports Calgary!

The weekend was fantastic. What was to be a rainy weekend turned out to be minimal rain. Tarps were put up in preparation and fires were enjoyed each evening.

Amie and Jen remain Bocce ball Champions over George and Tom..Undefeated! Many games were played and enjoyed in the cookshack with Teresa wearing the Yahtzee crown!

The winner of the 50/50 was Tammy R, congratulations! Thank you again everyone who participated!

We are still looking for volunteers to help place mats on the trail this Saturday and Sunday. What an excellent time for team building amongst friends, families, and colleagues! If you are able to volunteer, please RSVP using the link below.

What a fabulous Don McMay Memorial weekend we had! The weather was great, the rain stayed away for the majority of the weekend, tarps were setup and ready in preparation! Let's start with gratitude and appreciation:

Thank you to everyone that participated in our silent auction on the weekend, $1890 was raised for Trail Stewardship. Huge thank you to Casterland, Basecamp Motorsports Calgary, Ralph's Motorsports, Cycle Works Motorsports Calgary, Lazy J Excavating, Motion Canada, Airdrie Home Hardware, Cabela's, Cleaning in Pink, Brian and Brenda R, and all the anonymous donors for their donations!

Thank you to Devon, Andrea, Jack, and Morgan for smoking the pulled pork and brisket, spicing/rubbing it, transporting the precious cargo to the airstrip and serving it!

And thank you to everyone who brought delicious dishes to the potluck from a chocolate fountain, homemade bannock, peanut butter squares, devilled eggs, salads, lemon muffins, corn, (the list is really long), and more.

Congratulations to Mark and Melissa who are the recipients of the annual Don McKay Memorial award! Their passion to give back, pitch in, and get their hands dirty on the trail or during litter picking is truly appreciated. Join the club in congratulating them!
