Sincere condolences to Erik Guay Erik Guay and the entire Guay family.

It’s with great sadness that we say goodbye to one of ski racing’s finest, Conrad Guay. Conrad was an incredible coach at all competitive levels, and the beloved father of Erik, Stefan and Kristian Guay. All of us at Alpine Canada send our sincerest condolences to the Guay family on their loss.

Audi FIS Ski World Cup tour back on track in Lake Louise for back-to-back events

The Lake Louise Audi FIS Ski World Cup is back on track to host the world’s fastest downhill and super-G racers in the first speed events of the 2021/22 World Cup season. Lake Louise is one of the select few destinations to host the men and women back-to-back and is the only event of its kind in Canada.

As part of the return of the North American leg of the Audi FIS Ski World Cup tour, the FIS (International Ski Federation) has added a second men’s downhill race to the calendar for Lake Louise. “We are excited that we’ll be hosting two men’s downhills and a super-G to kick-off the men’s speed season. With the addition of a second downhill before the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games it will provide another opportunity for racers to get up to speed ahead of the Games.” stated Brian Lynam, Race Chair, Lake Louise Audi FIS Ski World Cup.

Winterstart Events Ltd., the not-for-profit event organizer which hosts the Audi FIS Ski World Cup races in Lake Louise, confirmed the event schedule for the Men’s Event from the 23.11 to the 28.11 and for the Women’s Event from the 30.11 to the 5.12 (trainings included).
