Welcome to the official Worcester State Alumni Page! We invite all alumni, family and friends to join Our pride in our students follows them after graduation.

We know that our alumni worked hard for their degree—both in and out of the classroom—and continue to do so to achieve personal and professional success. The Alumni Office works diligently to reconnect alumni to the University as well as maintain and strengthen the connection many alumni already have with WSU. Each year, alumni are invited to a golf tournament that benefits student scholarships, reunion activities, homecoming festivities, a Scholarship Tea, alumni chapter events, and much more. The Alumni Office believes that the University can help graduates get their careers off to a successful start. Through our Young Alumni Chapter, which is open to WSU graduates of the past 10 years, we host socials by major, career-building seminars, and more. Upon graduation, our alumni automatically become members of the WSU Alumni Association. In addition to invitation to a variety of events, members can take advantage of the special benefits and services, many of which are at discounted or special rates, offered to our alumni.

Today, as our nation pauses to reflect on the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001, we honor the 2,977 lives lost, the brave men and women who responded without hesitation, saving more than 17,000 people, and those who have passed since as a result of that day.

As Lancers, we hold a special place in our hearts for Robin Kaplan ’90, who passed away on Flight 11. Known for her warmth and bright spirit, Robin brought light to everyone who knew her. Her memory remains a cherished part of Worcester State, from the quiet sanctuary of the Robin Kaplan Memorial Garden to the hearts of our alumni community.

Today, and every day, we hold Robin and all those lost in our thoughts. Please join us in paying it forward with kindness in their memory and the promise to . 🕯️💙💛

It’s , and today we’re honoring two extraordinary individuals whose dedication, generosity, and spirit define what it means to leave a lasting impact: Vincent '66 and Roseanne '65 Matulaitis.

Their roots at Worcester State run deep, beginning with Roseanne’s father, Dr. Eugene Sullivan, who served as University President from 1947 to 1970. Since then, Vincent and Roseanne have carried that torch forward together. Beyond supporting class scholarships and the Dr. Eugene A. Sullivan Scholarship, they established The Vincent '66 and Roseanne (Sullivan) '65 Matulaitis Scholarship. Most recently, along with their daughter Susan Citro, they created a third endowment—The Vincent & Helen Matulaitis, Sr. Endowed Scholarship—to honor Vincent’s parents.

Their devotion extends far beyond philanthropy. Roseanne has served on the Foundation Board since 2012, serves as a Class Agent for the class of 1965, and has dedicated countless hours to reunion and the Scholarship Tea committees. Vincent served as President of the Alumni Associations Advisory Board (2008–2014), represents the class of 1966 as a Class Agent, and was instrumental in founding the Reach Out Committee. Continuing this family tradition of leadership, Susan joined the Foundation Board in 2024.

In 2008, Vincent and Roseanne made history as the first—and only—couple to jointly receive the Distinguished Alumni Award for Outstanding Service to Alma Mater.

If you look up the definition of a true Lancer Legacy, you’ll find Vincent and Roseanne. Thank you, Matulaitis family, for your unwavering devotion, leadership, and love for Worcester State—you inspire us all! 💙💛

It’s , and today we’re celebrating proud Worcester State alumnus, Jerome Hewlett ’87! 🎓✨

Starting as a campus leader while earning his degree, Jerome built the foundation for a distinguished career as a global business leader, entrepreneur, and philanthropist. His dedication to strategic thinking, mentorship, and community impact continues to create incredible opportunities for future generations of Lancers —most notably through his creation of the Jerome Hewlett Scholarship for Entrepreneurial Excellence.

We were proud to watch him receive his honorary doctorate this past Tuesday at Convocation and hear his words of wisdom shared with our incoming first-year students as they begin their own Lancer journeys!

Thank you, Jerome, for your visionary leadership, uplifting message, and lifelong commitment to Worcester State students! 💙💛
