The library welcomes Dr. Melba Joyce Boyd, the third poet laureate in Michigan history, for a poetry reading and discussion. As “Ambassador for Poetry,” she works to promote poetry as an art form, expand access to the literary arts, and promote poetry as a literary voice.

Do you have a preschooler who needs an activity this summer? Civic Center Library has a preschool story time designed for children ages 3-5. Classes take place on Tuesdays at 10 am beginning June 9 and run for ten weeks. Register online or by calling 586.751.0770.

Join us as we kick off summer reading club at the Busch Branch Library on Saturday, June 13th @ 2 pm with help from GP Zoology! They will have a live animal presentation featuring a variety of critters of different sizes, colors, and patterns, including a Burmese Python, Giant Cane Toad, Leopard Tortoise and more. Thanks to the generosity of the Midwest Collaborative for Library Services, the Miller Branch has its very own 'Mittens', the Mel Cat keeping an eye on our hold shelf. MCLS, the Library of Michigan and the Institute of Museum and Library Services make the MelCat interlibrary lending program possible.

Warren Public Library's all new board game collection is here at the Civic Center Library! We have a variety of board and card games for all ages and any number of players! Check out popular games like Hues and Cues or Wingspan.

Games check out for 2 weeks and are limited to 2 per household.

Desmond is on vacation! PAWS to Read at Civic Center Library will not be taking place today. Desmond will be back next Wednesday, June 3 from 5 to 6 pm.

Our certified therapy dog visits Civic Center Library weekly on Wednesdays at 5 pm for children to read to him. No registration is required.

The Warren Dorothy Busch Branch is currently closed Friday, May 22, 2026 due to a building issue.

All other branches are open for regular hours.
