Balanced BodyWorks

One of the best things about a small studio?

You don't stay a stranger for very long. 💕

We know your name.
We notice when you've been away.
We hear about your vacations, your families and what's happening in your life.
And yes...we usually remember the stories you told us last week. 😉

After 26 years, we've learned that Pilates may be what brings people through the door—but it's the relationships that make Balanced Bodyworks what it is.

And we wouldn't have it any other way.

Ever wonder what all those springs on a Pilates reformer actually do? 🤔

They're not just there to make an exercise “harder” or “easier.”

Depending on the exercise, changing the springs can add resistance, provide support, challenge your stability—or completely change how your body has to work.

And here's the interesting part:

More springs doesn't always mean harder.
Fewer springs doesn't always mean easier. 😅

That's why your instructor is always adjusting them!

There's a lot more going on with that reformer than meets the eye.

Happy First Day of Fall! 🍂🌴

Here in Florida, we're celebrating in the traditional way...

Wearing flip-flops.
Turning the A/C down.
Ordering something pumpkin flavored.
And pretending 87° feels a little crisp. 😂

Maybe the leaves aren't changing in Stuart, but we'll take the palm trees and sunshine.

Happy Autumn Equinox from all of us at Balanced Bodyworks! 💕

Pilates is physical exercise...

But some days it feels suspiciously like a brain workout too. 😂

Right leg here.
Left arm there.
Breathe.
Engage your core.
Keep your shoulders down.
Wait...which leg?!

If you've ever completely lost track of what your body is supposed to be doing during Pilates, you're in very good company. 😅

26 years.

That's a lot of Pilates classes. 💕

A lot of names learned.
A lot of stories shared.
A lot of laughter.
A lot of friendships.
And a whole lot of time spent watching people discover just how capable their bodies can be.

Balanced Bodyworks has changed over the years, but one thing hasn't—the people who walk through our doors are what make this place special.

Whether you've been with us for years or you've only just found us, we're very glad you're here. 💕

Pilates people, finish this sentence:

You KNOW you’re in a Pilates class when your instructor says...

“Just one more ______.” 😂

We have a feeling there may be some very specific answers to this one.

Clients, this is your chance. 👇

And instructors...you may want to look away. 😇
