🍺🍷🍹 Alcohol & Weight Loss: What You Need to Know
If you’re trying to lose weight, alcohol can make the process more challenging than most people realize.
Not only do alcoholic drinks contain calories (sometimes a lot of them), but alcohol can also:
• Lower your inhibitions and make it harder to stick to healthy food choices
• Increase cravings for high-calorie foods
• Slow fat burning while your body prioritizes metabolizing the alcohol
• Disrupt sleep, recovery, and overall wellness
Does this mean you can never enjoy a drink? Absolutely not.
Weight loss is about making informed choices. If you choose to drink, be mindful of what you’re drinking and how much. Swapping a sugary cocktail for a lower-calorie option can save hundreds of calories in a single night.
The goal isn’t perfection—it’s awareness and consistency.
Small choices add up. Make the best choices you can, most of the time, and you’ll be amazed at the results.

Healthy eating isn’t just about “protein.”
100g of almonds has less protein than 100g of chicken breast… but over 3x the calories.
This is why food quality and calorie density matter when your goal is fat loss. Some foods make it much easier to stay full, hit your protein goals, and stay in a calorie deficit without feeling starving all day.
You don’t have to cut out foods you love — just understand what you’re eating and make intentional choices. Small decisions add up. 💪

A few years ago, I set a goal that honestly scared me: run a marathon under 3 hours.
It didn’t happen right away. In fact, it took years. There were races that went wrong, days I doubted myself, training blocks that felt wasted, and plenty of times I came up short. But I kept showing up. I stayed consistent. I trusted the process. I kept trying.
This week in Boston, it finally happened. Sub 3.
Why am I sharing this? Because the same lesson applies to weight loss, fitness, and life. Big goals should scare you a little. They should challenge you. They should force you to grow.
And failure? Failure is part of the process. Missing the mark doesn’t mean you’re done—it means you’re learning. Every setback can be a setup for the breakthrough if you keep going.
Most people overestimate what they can do in a month and underestimate what they can do in a few years of consistency.
If you’re on a weight loss journey and feeling frustrated, keep showing up. Keep stacking small wins. Keep believing in yourself even when progress feels slow.
You might be one season away from everything clicking. 💪

As we head into the weekend, remember this…
It’s not about being perfect.
It’s about being consistent.
One good choice leads to another.
One workout turns into a routine.
One disciplined weekend builds momentum.
Weekends don’t have to set you back—they can actually move you forward.
Stay mindful. Stay consistent. Stay committed to the bigger picture.
Small wins this weekend = big results over time 💪

2000 calories is 2000 calories… right? Not exactly.
The truth is, calories add up FAST when we’re not paying attention. A couple handfuls here, a quick snack there, and suddenly you’re hundreds (or thousands) of calories over what your body actually needs.
But it’s not just about the number—it’s about what those calories are made of.
On one side: foods that leave you hungry again in an hour, spike your energy, then crash it.
On the other: foods that fuel your body, keep you full, and help you perform at your best.
Most people struggling with weight loss aren’t overeating because they lack discipline—they’re eating foods that don’t satisfy them.
At Goals Weight Loss, we focus on simple, sustainable changes:
✔️ Higher protein
✔️ Better food choices
✔️ Awareness of how calories add up
Because when you start paying attention, everything changes.
You don’t need to be perfect—you just need to be intentional.
