Cadets were presented with top awards and scholarships from donors during the UW-Stevens Point ROTC annual Awards Ceremony March 5 in the Dreyfus University Center Alumni Room.

Last Thursday, cadets went back to the sandbox with their terrain model kits as CDT Trevathan led our lab on OPORDs (Operations Orders) and raids.

For the first time, our program was proud to present the COL Vance Klosinski Scholarship to CDT Jack McGovern. Making the moment even more special, COL Klosinski’s aunt Kathy Breseman, who served as our program’s human resources assistant from 1990-2010, joined us to share personal stories about his legacy.

COL Klosinski graduated from UW-Stevens Point in 1997 and served as a leader in the Army until his death in 2022. CDT McGovern will follow in his footsteps by joining the U.S. Army Infantry after graduating in May.

Last Thursday, cadets got to play play in the sand a little as CDT Edberg led our lab on Troop Leading Procedures (TLPs) on Attacks and Movements to Contact (MTC).

This past week, cadets completed the first AFT of the semester. Cadets also learned how to how conduct platoon attacks and movements in lab.

Congrats to Carraigh Monien on earning the Chancellor's Leadership Award!

Congratulations to Pointer cadet Carraigh Monien who was commissioned as a second lieutenant during a ceremony Friday, Dec. 12. He will begin active duty as an infantry officer at Fort Benning (GA).

Our hearts are with the family and friends of Army National Guard SPC Sarah Beckstrom. May they feel the love, strength, and support of a grateful community during this unimaginable time. 💙

We continue to lift US Air Force SSgt Andrew Wolfe in our prayers, may healing, comfort, and peace surround him each day. 🙏

From wear blue: run to remember, we hold their names, their stories, and their families close. We run, remember, and honor always. 💙

On Sunday some of our Cadets volunteered with our friends, Stevens Point Junior Woman's Club, at their annual Tinsel Trail event! 🎄

Cadets assisted vendors throughout the event and with the clean up once the event ended.
