Introducing a new Rewards system for potential drivers!

Here's the deal, we have only 2 well respected Senior drivers right now: Larry and Pearl.

Usually when we look to bring in new drivers, we are betting on new demand and hoping whatever recent order spike trend that pushed us to hire new drivers continues. Those drivers would need to wait til our volume consistently surpasses our usual volume to move up as a higher seniority driver, however this has not worked the way we hoped in the past.

But, that's the old way, and this rewards system does several things for new potential drivers:

*Gives them a clear way to reach Senior driver status.

*Offers a small bonus per new customer recruited. $2.50 if their first order is a Pick and Drop, 10% of order subtotal if the customers order is through a Partnered Restaurants.

*Gives the driver that recruited the customer first dibs on that customers first order, regardless of Seniority status.

*Tiered Cash Bonuses for continued new customer recruitment beyond reaching Seniority status.

After recruiting 25 new customers who place an order through Food KAB (DELIVERY ONLY) you reach Seniority status.

With Senior status, you see the orders the same time other drivers do, with exception to the proximity rule. The proximity rule gives the nearest Senior driver to that order 60 seconds to accept. After 60 seconds, for the following 45 seconds all other Senior drivers get a swing at claiming the order. After both of those timed periods, all other zone drivers see the order until it is claimed.

One very important caution for interested drivers: take this Rewards system serious, as in, don't ask your friends/family, or even strangers, for a "favor" by asking them to place an order just to help you get to Senior status. You want to recruit customers with the hope that they will continue to use Food KAB and add to our daily expected order volume. Why that is important is because rushing new drivers into Senior status without new customer orders flowing only pollutes the driver market and will make it frustrating for all drivers if everyone is fighting over orders. It is important that the Rewards system is treated with integrity, especially early on. Help us grow and get rewarded.

All tracking is in place to keep up with the progress, both in the Driver app and on the Admin side. We also have lifetime revenue tracking for customers recruited under a single driver, so we do have a way to see how many customers are placing more than just that first order.

In your driver app, you will get a Referral link and QR code on the same page you can track the status of recruited customers. You also will see your driver rating, which you must maintain above a 4.5 star to keep Senior driver status. We may increase the 4.5 minimum, but for now, that is where it sits.

We have begun testing a new phase of Food KAB for drivers where the order flow runs through the drivers. I believe this is how we evolve as a company, and so far it seems to be going smooth(with only a small learning curve). This also will give our backup drivers an opportunity to step in where they can to help keep business flowing smoothly.

How it works: You place an order, it lands on the Claim list for our seniority drivers. The moment they claim it, the order is sent to the restaurant. After 1 minute, if the order has not been accepted, our back up drivers get a chance to claim the order. It's really as simple as that. This should actually improve our delivery times, even if just slightly!

The goal here is that we push into a Driver-led model for Food KAB, which is really the whole point of Food KAB if we are being honest. Better for the drivers, customers, and merchants!
