✨ Forkd Spotlight Saturday: Liza's Greek Delights ✨
It started with a love of baking and a desire to share the Greek foods and flavors Liza grew up with.
About 10 years ago, Liza started at the Mansfield farmers market. At the time, she had a full-time job and spent her weekends doing the markets.
What started small eventually grew into her own little Greek bakery: Liza’s Greek Delights.
Meet Liza!
Liza is Greek/British and grew up in Europe, where food was always a huge part of her life.
She describes Liza’s Greek Delights as her “tiny market-style Greek bakery.” It isn't a big commercial bakery or café. It’s a small, slightly tucked-away shop filled with Greek baked goods, breads, baklava, Greek honey, olive oil, teas, spices and products from other small local vendors.
And there is usually something new coming out of her kitchen.
Liza does the baking, creates the flavors and runs the shop herself. Her younger daughter, who is 22, also helps out and runs the shop on Mondays when her work schedule allows.
Her grandmother and mother taught her to cook and bake when she was about 12—and she paid attention.
Greek tradition meets creativity:
Greek food is closely tied to family and tradition for Liza. She loves keeping those familiar Greek flavors and recipes alive, while also having fun with them and creating something completely unexpected.
That creativity really shows up in her baklava.
Instead of making the traditional layered squares many people expect, Liza makes rolled baklava and has created flavors ranging from:
- Original
- Oreo
- Biscoff
- Pecan Pie
- Key Lime Pie
- Dubai Chocolate
- Coconut Dreams
- S'Mores
- Banana Pudding
Greek tradition and American fusion.
And yes, we have to talk about that Banana Pudding Baklava.
Liza is constantly thinking about flavors people already love and asking herself, “Can I turn that into baklava?”
A friend asked her to create Banana Pudding Baklava, and she thought it was just crazy enough to try.
It’s currently a limited flavor, and some of her limited flavors eventually become permanent favorites.
Don't overlook the Greek flatbreads
Liza says the baklava tends to steal the spotlight, but her Greek flatbreads deserve some attention too.
They're topped with things like feta, Kalamata olives, tomatoes, rosemary and red onion, and they show a completely different side of what she makes.
What should you try?
For a first visit, Liza recommends starting with her Original Baklava, because that's where everything started.
Then try one of the specialty flavorsn, probably whichever limited flavor she's excited about that week.
Right now, Banana Pudding would absolutely be in the running.
She also recommends trying one of her Greek flatbreads or spanakopita.
Food, family and memories. ♥️
The traditional Greek items will always mean the most to Liza because they connect her to where she comes from.
Her Original Baklava is especially meaningful because it represents the traditional side of the bakery.
And her Greek chicken and rice Avgolemono Soup is a comfort food that has always been a favorite. Her grandmother used to make it for her, and it brings back memories of home and family.
Liza says that now that her family members are gone, the bakery reminds her of them every day.
She still has a younger brother in Greece, who helps by sending her Greek spices and different things from there.
There's a lot more work behind that piece of baklava than you might think.
Everything is made in small batches, and Liza individually puts her baklava together rather than simply cutting it from one large tray.
It takes about an hour to make each flavor, before the prep work and shopping.
Then come the labels, boxes and packaging.
The baklava also has to sit for about six hours before she can package it, which means Liza is usually up around 3 in the morning to get everything done.
She's constantly testing new flavors, working on the texture and figuring out how to make an idea actually work as baklava.
Some experiments behave beautifully.
Others, according to Liza, apparently have their own plans.
A truly small local bakery
One thing Liza wants people to understand is just how small the operation really is.
People sometimes assume there is a whole bakery team behind everything she makes.
There isn't.
If you've bought baklava from Liza’s Greek Delights, chances are the person handing it to you is also the person who made it.
She also continues to change things up with seasonal and limited-edition baklava flavors, takes preorders and larger orders, and makes spanakopita, Greek flatbreads, breads and traditional Greek cookies and sweets.
The best way to see what she's creating next is to follow the bakery page, because Liza says she's constantly experimenting.
The customers get to help with that experimentation, too!
She recently made a Nutter Butter Baklava after someone suggested the idea. ❤️
Liza says the support from the community has meant everything to her. Customers have become regulars, and regulars have become friends.
And ultimately, that's what Liza’s Greek Delights is:
A very small local market bakery built around one woman's love of baking, Greek food, family memories and a whole lot of ideas for what she can turn into baklava next.

If you're discovering Liza's Greek Delights through Forkd, her recommendation is simple:

✨ Forkd Find of the Day- Founder 7 TATER WAGON✨
Tater Wagon started as an idea tossed around for a couple of years. They’ve always loved making crazy loaded potatoes for the family, especially while vacationing at the lake.
The name has a pretty great family story, too. Their grandpa used to tell them that thunder was “God’s Tater Wagon falling over.” Years later, it became the perfect name for their loaded-potato trailer.
Today, Tater Wagon is a local father-and-son business, with both of them working together to build and run it while learning all the good—and bad—that comes with owning a small business.
Their specialty is simple: loaded baked potatoes, without a giant menu.
Must-tries:
• Smokin Barrel
• The Duke
• The Birria Papa
Their Frito Bandito puts a Frito-pie spin on a potato with house-made chili, cheddar, taco meat and queso.
And don't overlook The Parker Pie, their daughter's creation and her favorite.
What makes their potatoes stand out?
Their signature garlic-herb butter seasoning goes on every jumbo potato before and after baking, along with premium ingredients like Tillamook aged sharp cheddar and real Texas butter.
Customers also love adding chopped brisket to The Duke and cracked pepper ranch to the Ranch Hand.
Most importantly, Tater Wagon says they're simply a local father-and-son idea they've put their whole hearts into—and every customer is supporting that dream.
📍 They post their Wednesday–Saturday "Wagon Trail" locations and times every Tuesday on Facebook.
And if you matched with Tater Wagon on Forkd?
Their answer: Order the Smokin Barrel.

🚨 BIG FORKD NEWS 🚨
We can finally share this one:
Forkd has been selected to participate in The Blox’s 2027 entrepreneurship competition and documentary production, filming in Tulsa in June 2027.
This is a huge milestone for us, but it is not just our story.
Forkd was built around one simple idea: helping people discover great local food without the endless “where do you want to eat?” debate.
From the very beginning, local businesses believed in what we were building.
Our first 10 Founding Members represent exactly what Forkd is supposed to be:
1- BobaCane
2- Clean Eatz - Willow Park, TX
3- Hey,Sugar
4- Beefmaster Steakhouse Weatherford
5- The Spot
6- Westside Tacos
7- TATER WAGON
8- The Lily Pad 76085
9- Mad Macs / Mad Macs Bites at Bellum
10- Flavor on 51 Catering / Seventy One Bar & Grill
Ten businesses.
Ten completely different food experiences.
One shared belief that local food deserves a better way to be discovered.
Now, in June 2027, we get to take Forkd into a room full of founders, mentors, challenges, cameras, and new opportunities, and tell the story of how this thing started, and to continue turning the pages of where it is going.
We’ll be going to Tulsa to learn, compete, pressure-test Forkd, build relationships, and represent every local business and every user who has helped us get this far.
To our Founding Members, our users, our friends, and everyone who has supported Forkd from the beginning:
Every single one of you helped put us in this room.
We still have a lot of work to do between now and June.
That makes this next chapter even more exciting.
Forkd is headed to The Blox.
Tulsa, we’ll see you in June 2027.

✨ Forkd Find of the Day - Cooper's Ghost Dogz ✨️
Some businesses start with a business plan.
Cooper’s Ghost Dogz started with a dream their family refused to let go of.
Cooper had dreamed of owning a food business for nearly four years. In 2025, the family finally took the leap and began building the trailer with help from relatives.
During that same time, their daughter Bella was diagnosed with an aggressive brain cancer.
Their family was split between building the business, working, and staying with Bella during treatment. Even through one of the hardest seasons of their lives, they kept Cooper’s dream alive.
On March 8, 2026, Cooper’s Ghost Dogz served their first customers in Weatherford.
And now, there is an incredible update to that story:
• Bella is officially three months in remission
The family recently shared that they had closed for one of Bella’s medical follow-ups, and came away from that day celebrating three months in remission.
That makes this little food trailer about so much more than hot dogs.
It carries a family’s dreams, challenges, determination, and a whole lot of hope.
Today, Cooper’s Ghost Dogz is a family-owned food trailer serving creative, flavor-packed hot dogs while trying to make every person at the window feel less like a customer and more like a guest of the family.
What makes them different?
• Creative takes on a familiar favorite
• Regular-size dogs and large quarter-pound dogs
• Bold flavor combinations
• Personal service and conversation
• A family that genuinely appreciates every person who stops by
If it’s your first visit, they recommend:
• Poblano Street Dog
• Barbecue Crunch Dog
• Mozza Dog
• Classic Chili Cheese Dog
• Elote Cup on the side
One item they think deserves a little more attention is the Mozza Dog.
It may sound simple, but they say it’s packed with flavor and has become a favorite for a lot of guests who give it a chance.
You can regularly find Cooper’s Ghost Dogz at:
• Tractor Supply in Springtown
• Optimist Food Truck Park
• Cozy’s Cards & Collectibles
Their schedule can change for special events, so they recommend checking the Cooper’s Ghost Dogz page for weekly locations and hours.
The support from the local community has meant more to this family than they can put into words.
They told us every purchase, share, recommendation, prayer, and return visit helped support their family during Bella’s treatment and helped keep Cooper’s dream moving forward.
They also recently received Best of the Weatherford recognition, and they credit the community that believed in them as a big part of that honor.
So what should you order if Cooper’s Ghost Dogz comes up as your Forkd match?
If you like bold flavors:
• Poblano Street Dog
• Barbecue Crunch Dog
If you want something more familiar:
• Chili Cheese Dog
• Mozza Dog
Add an Elote Cup, and they say you’ve got the full Cooper’s Ghost Dogz experience.
Cooper’s Ghost Dogz is more than a food trailer.
It’s a family dream built during a season that tested their faith, strength, and determination.
And today, that story includes something especially worth celebrating:
• Three months of remission for Bella
That is one incredible reason to smile. ♥️

✨ Forkd Spotlight Saturday- Tavern on the Lake ✨️
Tavern on the Lake started with a pretty simple dream.
Randy had always wanted to own a bar.
Somewhere people could come hang out, listen to music, grab a drink, and enjoy themselves.
He had always loved that kind of atmosphere, and somewhere along the way, Tavern on the Lake became the bigger version of that dream.
A casual place on Lake Weatherford where people could:
• Eat
• Relax
• Listen to music
• Spend time together
• And enjoy the lake
Over the years, Tavern has grown and evolved, but they say that original idea of creating a fun place for people to gather is still at the heart of it.
And if you’ve never been before, don’t expect fancy.
Their words?
Very casual, laid-back, and definitely not fancy.
Come as you are, grab some food and a cold drink, sit back, and enjoy the lake.
What really seems to set Tavern apart, though, is the people.
They’ve become a gathering place where you might come in for dinner and end up staying for live music, Bingo, karaoke, football, or just talking to the people at the next table.
They describe it as having a very relaxed, small-town feel.
If it’s your first visit, their must-try menu items include:
• Catfish, one of their biggest sellers
• Burgers
• Wings with several different sauces and dry rubs
And there are a couple of newer menu items they think deserve some attention too.
• The Hottest Club in Town. Made with jalapeño bacon and a little kick
• The Naanwich. Another newer menu item they say people really need to try
There’s usually something happening throughout the week too:
• Tuesday - Texas Hold’em
• Wednesday - Bingo
• Thursday - Live music
• Friday - Happy Hour from 4–7
• Saturday - Karaoke
• Thursday also brings a new weekly food special that runs through the following week
They also host football watch parties and other special events throughout the year.
One thing people may not realize about Tavern on the Lake is how much of a community has formed around it.
They have regulars who know each other, customers who stay longer than planned, and people who have become friends over the years, and that local support means a lot to them.
They told us they’ve had people show up for them when they needed support, and because of that, they try to return that same support to the community- whether that means helping someone going through a difficult time, supporting a benefit, or simply being there when someone needs it.
They’re locally owned, hands-on, and spend a huge part of their lives at Tavern.
Their goal isn’t to be fancy.
It’s to serve good food, have some fun, and give people somewhere they actually enjoy coming back to.
And if someone matches with Tavern on the Lake on Forkd this Saturday?
They recommend trying one of their newer items:
• The Hottest Club in Town with jalapeño bacon
• Or the Naanwich
Then grab a cold drink, enjoy the lake, and stay awhile.

✨️️Forkd Find of the Day Bush League Bar and Grill ✨️
If you haven’t made it to Bush League yet, today might be the day.
It’s Wing Wednesday, which means 50¢ wings all day.
Bush League describes itself as a high-energy sports bar with:
• 36 TVs
• 25 import and domestic draft beers
• Creative cocktails
• A chef-driven bar menu
• A strong baseball theme throughout the restaurant
The story behind Bush League is just as unique as the restaurant itself.
The owner and chef has spent years cooking for professional athletes and sports teams, and baseball has been a major part of his family’s life for years. He always knew that if he opened his own baseball-themed sports bar, Bush League would be the name.
“Bush League” is slang for amateur, second-rate, or unprofessional, so they intentionally worked that idea into the design with:
• Mismatched tables and chairs
• Scratched-up flooring
• 20-foot foul poles inside the dining room
The food, however, is anything but second-rate.
Some of the things they make in-house include:
• Handmade burgers
• Brined wings
• Fresh-cut fries
• House-made pickles
Their signature menu item is their burgers, with the wings coming in a very close second.
One menu item they feel deserves more attention is their fried burgers.
They offer two versions:
• Cheddar cheese, chopped bacon, and fresh jalapeño folded into the beef, battered, and deep-fried
• Blue cheese, chopped bacon, and cracked black pepper, also battered and deep-fried
Their weekly specials include:
• Monday - Half-price appetizers
• Tuesday - All-day Happy Hour and half-price burgers
• Wednesday - 50¢ wings all day
• Thursday - Kids eat free with the purchase of an adult entrée
One thing that may surprise people is that Wing Wednesday is actually their busiest day of the week, even busier than Friday or Saturday.
And when we asked what someone should order if they match with Bush League on Forkd tonight, the answer was simple:
Wings for Wing Wednesday.
Open Forkd, start swiping, and see if Bush League ends up being your match tonight.
