Sacred Transitions - Alex Alatorre
A healing place between science and spirit. I support people throught transitions, grief and deep inner connection.
Come check out what we've been brewing behind the scenes for you all! It's always so exciting finding new ways in which we can explore heavy topics together in a less serious and scary way. I'm so thrilled to offer these two workshops along with Liberated Creatives and The Story House Bookstore ๐๐
๐๏ธIf you enjoy board games and the idea of contemplating more deeply about Death and Dying, the Playing with Death workshop will be right down your alley! Come play some rounds of the Death Deck, if you dare ๐๐
๐On the other hand, if connecting with your creative side while exploring these topics sounds better for you, I invite you to look into the Calaveritas Literarias workshop. Come learn about the beautiful Mexican tradition of writing light hearted poems related to death and grief, and how creativity can help us process heavy emotions and humor can help us approach death in a less serious and scary manner ๐๐ฏ
I hope that in one or both of these workshops you will find some gold nuggets to carry with you, and some tools to help you navigate future experiences ๐๐ช๐

I think about this poem all the time and I really wanted to share it with you all. My deathwork certification teacher shared it with me and the rest of the class during our lesson on grief, and it truly stuck with me. Not only is it beautifully written and it gives us a stunning visual regarding stepping into the space of someone else's grief, but it also offers some great advise on how to best show up for each other in those places. I love this little poem and the wisdom it can share with us so much ๐
If you're looking for deathwork education, I'd like to give a little mention to Erin Merelli she is a very knowledgeable and an amazing teacher ๐
Do you have any poems you like to read while processing difficult emotions? Do you write yourself? ๐

Impermanence can be a very scary monster, or a very wise and thoughtful teacher. While it's true that it can sometimes show up snarling and showing it's sharp teeth, most of the times it's just because it's as unfamiliar with us as we are with it. This is true for most emotions, the less time we spend connecting with them and running away, the more terrifying they will look once we are brought face to face with them. ๐ฎ
What are other ways in which you have observed Impermanence show up around you? How do you feel when it comes to visit? ๐
