For my fellow flower enthusiasts. 💚
I wanted a record of some of the gorgeous flowers and plants I saw, including the names for some of them!

If your end goal is to see more definition in your curls, then water HAS to be a part of the process. Water = Hydration.

We had to say goodbye to our baby boy, Domino, yesterday. 💔

Domino may have been little in stature, but he made for his little legs with a huge personality and an even bigger heart.

Thank you for being the best little buddy and for bringing our life so much joy. Miss you Domino and Zoe. ❤️

I wrapped up the year with some much needed time off with the hubby!

We visited some family, spent time frolicking around town, and mostly just relaxed at home. And took Domino on many long, walks of course!

Your first curly cut with me is all about laying the foundation—we talk curly hair science, tips, and everything in between to set you up for success. But honestly? The magic really starts to happen at appointment 2, 3, and beyond. That’s when we get to truly collaborate on your hair. And that collaboration is my favorite part!

Last week, I spent a week in Peachtree City, Georgia immersed in a workshop all about tight curls, the foundations of hair, philosophy, art, storytelling, and more.

Here are a couple takeaways I learned.
1. Practice makes progress.
2. Learning a bunch of stuff is great, but won't make a difference it you do not implement and integrate what you've discovered into your dally life.
3. Golf carts are the superior way to travel. 😎

Do you ever notice you lose hair every time you wash or brush it? 😅

It is completely normal!

People lose an average of 50 to 200 hairs a day.

If you have curly hair, you’re (hopefully 😅) not brushing your hair every day and you’re probably only washing it every 2-5 days. So when you go to wash your hair, it can feel like a lot because all those shed hairs are still in your hair! Know what I mean! 😉

(I have to quickly add that it’s so important to use a proper detangling brush whenever you are brushing your hair, especially if you detangle your hair in the shower with conditioner! I have my favorite brushes linked on my website!)

Other things that can affect hair loss is pregnancy, postpartum or other recent medical treatments. If you’re ever concerned, I would contact your dermatologist or doctor and get everything professionally checked out!

Remember, I’m not a doctor, just your hairstylist! 😅😁

I think that the most important part of your hair appointment, is learning about the science of curls and how it applies to your curly hair.
