We also had some fun with our impaired-vision goggles and learned an important lesson along the way: driving under the influence is never worth the risk. 🚫🍺🚗

Today, the STCC Police Department proudly recognizes the women who serve our campus community with strength, compassion, professionalism, and dedication.

We are proud to celebrate Corporal Crystal Rivera, Corporal Kendall Tardy, and Student Officer Stephanie Katz. Each of these women represents a different part of the law enforcement journey from learning and growing in the profession to leading and serving others.

Thank you for your commitment to keeping our campus safe, supporting our students, and showing future generations of women that there is a place for them in law enforcement.

25 years later, we still remember.

On September 11, 2001, our nation experienced a tragedy that forever changed our country. Today, on the 25th anniversary of 9/11, the Springfield Technical Community College Police Department honors the nearly 3,000 lives lost, the courageous first responders who ran toward danger, and the countless individuals whose lives were forever impacted.

We remember the bravery. We remember the sacrifice. We remember the unity that brought our nation together in the days that followed.

May we continue to honor their memory through service, compassion, courage, and care for one another.

🚨 STCC PARKING REMINDER 🚨

As we welcome students back to campus, the STCC Police Department would like to remind everyone of a few important parking guidelines:

🚙 Register your vehicle through the STCC Parking Portal. Unregistered vehicles may be ticketed

🅿️ Day students must park in Lots 1, 2 or 5. AFTER 3 PM, on-campus parking is available for students attending on-campus classes. If those spaces are full, please utilize Lots 1, 2 or 5.

Handicap accessible parking spaces are reserved for vehicles with a valid state-issued handicap placard or hang tag. The placard must be clearly displayed while parked. Vehicles unlawfully parked in a designated handicap space are subject to a $300 fine and may be towed.

⚠️STCC Police officers will issue parking tickets to ANY vehicle parked illegally or in violation of STCC parking rules.

Please help us keep campus parking safe, accessible, and organized for everyone.

This week, Corporal Crystal Rivera and Corporal Kendall Tardy completed a week of advanced leadership training through the FBI-LEEDA Command Leadership Institute (CLI).

The Command Leadership Institute focuses on developing law enforcement leaders by strengthening leadership skills, decision-making, communication, accountability, and organizational effectiveness.

Continued professional development helps our officers grow as leaders and bring new knowledge and skills back to the STCC Police Department and the campus community we proudly serve.
