A huge congratulations to our SHS Marching Band, named Grand Champions of the 2026 Trousdale County Yellow Jacket Invitational! Best Band and Percussion in Class A, as well as 2nd place Color Guard and Drum Major in class. This is the first grand championship for the SHS Band since the 1970s. What a great way to finish out the contest season! We are proud of the work they have done in the heat of the summer and their leader, Mr. Jon Wiggins!

Mrs. Frye and Mrs. Hake’s classes were buzzzing with excitement today! For their local 4-H monthly meeting, local beekeeper Mrs. Kathy was invited to share about the beekeeping process. From looking at combs, the hive, trying on bee suites and tasting their honey, students got to see what life is like with our very own Buzz!!

Congratulations to Mr. Chris Holzer for being selected as this week’s Premium Food Delivery LLC. Employee Spotlight! Mr. Holzer is a proud member of the Physical Education department. In his free time, he likes preparing students for the Presidential Fitness test and serving as Head Coach of the storied Wrestling program at SHS! Go Bruise Brothers and Sisters! Mr. Holzer also serves in a variety of campus and district leadership roles all while rocking a shoe game that is unmatched. Thank you Mr. Holzer for your commitment to SHS!
