Today, we pause to remember and honor the brave men who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to their communities.

During this week’s Law Enforcement Memorial Ceremony, roses were dedicated in memory of:

🌹 J. Mart Murphy — Robertson County Sheriff’s Office, 1931
🌹 J. Scott Shelton — Constable, 1936
🌹 Willard Pope Hill — Robertson County Sheriff’s Office, 1980
🌹 Wallace Clinard — Cross Plains Police Department, 1997

Their courage, dedication, and sacrifice will never be forgotten. We remain forever grateful for their service and the lasting legacy they leave behind.

Today, SRO McCurry proudly held DARE graduation for the 5th grade students at Watauga Elementary School. We are so proud of their hard work, participation, and commitment throughout the program!

It was a beautiful day for our community to join together at the Courthouse steps for the National Day of Prayer.

Today Mighty Oak had the honor of training the Robertson County Sheriff's Office's SROs in Youth Mental Health First Aid. Youth Mental Health First Aid teaches adults both knowledge and skills that can assist in identifying and supporting young people who may be experiencing a mental health or substance use challenge. We are so thankful to have some amazing SROs in our county that care about our students' mental health.

Their commitment to safety, security, and rehabilitation plays a vital role in protecting our community each and every day. Often working behind the scenes, Correctional Officers face unique challenges while maintaining order and making a difference in the lives of others.
