STAY COOL — Your canine companion trusts you when it comes to keeping them safe and comfortable. Don’t ever leave your pets in a hot car. Temperatures become deadly very quickly.

If you see a pet alone in a hot car, here are the steps to follow per Massachusetts State law —

🐾 Make a reasonable effort to find the owner.

🐾 Call the police, fire department, or animal control officer in your town.

🐾 Check for unlocked doors or open windows.

🐾 If the animal is in distress, you may enter the vehicle after following steps 1-3.

🐾 Stay with the animal until law enforcement arrives.
