โToday, we mourn the loss of Phuong, a remarkable advocate, trusted friend, and champion for the colorectal cancer community.
Phuong dedicated her voice and talents to ensuring patients were heard and valued. She was especially passionate about supporting young patients facing colorectal cancer and elevating the experiences of those diagnosed at a young age. Recognizing the unique challenges these individuals and families faced, she worked tirelessly to ensure their needs and perspectives were represented in research, care, and advocacy.
As a research advocate, Phuong brought authenticity, wisdom, and purpose to every conversation. She reminded us that meaningful progress happens when patients are true partners in shaping the future of cancer care. Her contributions advanced the field and inspired researchers, clinicians, advocates, and patients alike.
She supported our community, lifted others up, and helped people feel seen and supported during lifeโs most difficult moments.
On behalf of our team at Fight CRC, we extend our deepest condolences to Phuongโs family, loved ones, and all those whose lives she touched. We are grateful for her friendship, leadership, and lasting impact.
Her voice, advocacy, and commitment to improving the lives of others will not be forgotten. We will honor her memory by continuing the work she cared so deeply about and carrying forward the hope and determination that defined her life. We will never forget her.โ - Anjee Davis, Fight CRC CEO

Meet Holly, our May Advocate Highlight! ๐
Inspired by her sister Hope, who was diagnosed with early-onset colorectal cancer and passed away from the disease, Holly has spent over a decade advocating in her honor.
In 2025, on the 10th anniversary of Hope's passing, Holly felt called to do even more. What started with Dress in Blue Day and local outreach grew into Scope It Out, Climb for a Cure, and Call-on Congress โ where she connected with fellow Relentless Champions in person.
Since then, Holly has brought that energy back home through awareness events, tabling, advocacy alerts, social media outreach, and local partnerships.
Thank you, Holly, for honoring Hope's legacy and making an incredible impact.

Jessica's painting gives a glimpse into the feelings survivors may carry: the questions, the weight of physical and emotional scars, the strength, and the hope.
This Month, we're reminding you that healing isn't always visible or linear โ and you don't have to carry it alone.
