The Kitchen, Inc.
We bring stability and purpose to people who are homeless. Our vision is a community without homelessness.
Our programs are designed to make homelessness rare, brief, and nonrecurring for each person we serve. The Kitchen provides shelter, housing assistance, case management, and supportive services to people experiencing homelessness. Our programs serve families, individuals, youth, seniors, and Veterans.

We are so grateful to Springfield Old Navy for their generous donation of brand new baby and toddler summer clothes and cozy fuzzy socks 💛
Support like this helps ensure the youth and families we serve have access to items that are not only essential but also comforting, especially during seasonal transitions.
Thank you, Springfield Old Navy, for partnering with us to support youth and families in our community!🏠

We’re so grateful for community members who show up in meaningful ways 💛
Thank you to Stephanie Lewis for organizing Springfield Yoga in the Park this Sunday, May 3, and for choosing to support The Kitchen, Inc. through this event. Efforts like this make a real difference for the people we serve every day.
We truly appreciate your heart for our community and your commitment to giving back.
Volunteer Week may be over, but our gratitude lasts all year long. 💛
Because of you, meals are served, spaces are welcoming, and lives are changed every single day. We truly couldn’t do this work without our AMAZING volunteers. Thank you for showing up, giving your time, and making our community stronger.
Meet Brad.
For the past four years, Brad and his wife Stephanie have been dedicated volunteers at our affordable housing communities. From hosting bingo and potlucks to organizing game days, they bring more than just activities. They create connection, belonging, and a true sense of community for every resident.
This Volunteer Appreciation Week, we’re proud to highlight the incredible people who make our work possible. And who better to share that impact than the volunteers themselves?
We simply couldn’t do what we do without amazing volunteers like Brad and Stephanie. Thank you for the heart you bring to our mission every single day.

We are so grateful for the continued support and partnership of Jimm's Steakhouse & Pub! Through opportunities like this upcoming giveback event, they are making a direct impact in the lives of youth in our community.
Because of partners like Jimm’s, Rare Breed is able to show up every day with resources, support, and a safe place for young people who need it most. We’re thankful to stand alongside businesses that truly care about our community and invest in its future. ❤️
The easiest gift to give… and one they’ll actually use.
Jimm’s gift cards are perfect for celebrating moms, dads, and grads. And through May, every purchase helps support Rare Breed and the Child Advocacy Center.
Good food. Good reason to give.
