"Well, this is what it means to me" is the worst interpretative framework ever devised by man. Followed closely by, "the Lord told me".
For example, there has been a long-standing false 'interpretation' that the US is Babylon the Great from Revelation 17. This interpretation is totally incorrect, it is irresponsible to the text, and it may be boldly spoken that this framework is defaming to the character of God. Every claim that 'America will be destroyed by God in judgment' is an utterly false claim, and those who do so do not understand God's righteous judgment, nor His mercy, nor His forbearance. In the mighty words of Jesus, "You do not know what spirit you are of."
Real and genuine prophetic ministry is abhorred at the insult to grace and life, at the 'strip-mall' level theology it represents, and the lack of spiritual understanding that passes for 'prophetic' words, especially on social media, but also in the celebrity 'prophetic' ministry world, almost all of which have been found out to be totally fake.
