SOW-tember Week 2: Sow a Scripture
God’s Word can speak directly into what someone is walking through.

This week, choose one Scripture to carry with you. Meditate on it, and then pray: “Holy Spirit, give me an open window to share this with someone today.”

Listen closely to the conversations happening around you. When your Scripture connects naturally with what someone is experiencing, have the courage to share it—and trust God to use His Word.

As you do, pray for teams in Eurasia to recognize opportunities to share God’s Word with the people He places in their paths.
Sow the Word and let God use it.

On August 26, a catastrophic flash flood tore through the Himalayan region along the Nepal-Tibet border. In its aftermath, Assemblies of God churches in Nepal are stepping in — providing shelter, food and basic necessities to hundreds of displaced people.

Since the flood more than 1,000 people have died. Thousands are still missing. In the hardest-hit areas of Nepal, roads and bridges are destroyed, power is down, and communication remains limited. Response teams are still working to reach remote communities.

"Around 300 people are being sheltered in one Assemblies of God church on the edge of the affected area," one Eurasia global worker recently reported.

Welcome to SOW-tember!
Throughout September, teams in Eurasia are setting aside time to intentionally sow the gospel—and we’re inviting you to join us from wherever God has placed you.

Sowing the gospel doesn’t have to be complicated. It means sharing something of the Good News in a way that encourages someone toward Jesus. This month, we’ll walk through four simple ways to do that: serving, sharing Scripture, connecting over coffee or a meal, and sharing your story. We sow in faith, follow the Holy Spirit’s leading, and trust Him with the results.

This week: Sow Through Serving.
Look for one person you can bless. Buy someone a coffee. Help a neighbor. Bring a meal. Encourage a coworker. Serve with no strings attached, and be ready for an opportunity to share that Jesus is the why behind your kindness.

India is home to more than 1.4 billion people, hundreds of languages, and thousands of distinct people groups. It's also home to 851 of the world's unengaged unreached people groups—communities without access to the gospel, where most people will live their entire lives without ever meeting a follower of Jesus.

Pray for our global worker teams in India as they welcome new members and continue serving together. Ask God to strengthen their unity, deepen their love for one another, and give them long-term health, resilience, and joy in ministry.

These people groups have little to no access to the gospel — no church, no believers, no one actively bringing them the story of Jesus.

Pray with us for Central Eurasia this week — a region needing new workers.
Pray for Turkey, where a young church is still finding its feet.
Pray for Iran, where the Church is growing largely underground.
Pray for Afghanistan, one of the least reached and most dangerous places on earth to follow Jesus.

And pray for Pakistan, where whole people groups have never once heard His name. New workers are needed everywhere here — will you pray the Lord sends them?

Our big dream for Eurasia is simple: to see disciples made and the Church established among every people, in every place.

Twenty years ago, Stan and his wife Ann landed in Turkey with one conviction: take the Gospel to those who had never heard it. They drove out to border towns and villages that didn't know the name of Jesus. They prayed there. They watched Him heal the sick, the lame, the blind. And still — no one believed.

Stan was diagnosed with cancer, and he passed away during Ramadan — a season that unexpectedly drew Ann closer to the Muslim community around her. She's still there. Still working. Still serving the next village that hasn't heard.

When Stan and Ann arrived in Turkey, there was one global worker family in the whole country. Today, nine church-planting teams are at work across Turkey, and a young church is finding its footing in one of the most unreached nations on earth.

This is a true example of God using everyday faithfulness for an eternal impact.
