Raise a pint for a purpose during Diaper Need Awareness Week!

Throughout September, there are two ways to support the Diaper Bank of the Ozarks at Hold Fast Brewing:

🍺 Order a Patio Pleaser Golden Ale, and Hold Fast will donate $1 from every pint sold.

Every diaper and every dollar helps keep babies across 30 Missouri counties clean, dry and healthy. Treat yourself while helping meet a basic need for local families!

Diaper need is the struggle to provide enough diapers to keep a baby clean, dry and healthy. According to the National Diaper Bank Network, 40% of U.S. households with young children experience diaper insecurity.

In Greene County alone, an estimated 8,300 children age three and younger live in households struggling to afford diapers. And Greene County is just one of the 29 Missouri counties served by Diaper Bank of the Ozarks.

During Diaper Need Awareness Week, we are shining a light on this often-hidden hardship and reminding families across the Ozarks that help is available. 💙💛

Today, we remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, honor the courage of first responders and hold close all those whose lives were forever changed. May we continue to choose compassion, courage and care for one another.

Every child deserves the opportunity to become a confident learner.

Missouri ranks 28th out of 38 states in reading growth and 26th out of 36 states in math growth among states with available data. These numbers show why consistent, individualized support matters.

On International Literacy Day, we celebrate the teachers, families and volunteers helping students build the foundational skills they need to succeed. Through the Math and Reading Buddy Programs, caring volunteers work one-on-one with local students to strengthen their skills, build confidence and make learning feel possible.

At today’s Network Luncheon, Hank Molinengo, USN Retired, shared his firsthand experience of serving inside the Pentagon on September 11, 2001. His powerful reflections on that day, and the aftermath that followed, reminded us of the courage, leadership and resilience that emerge in life’s most difficult moments.

Crosslines will be closed Monday, September 7, in observance of Labor Day. We will resume regular hours on Tuesday, September 8.
