Take a look at this shower transformation that we recently completed.
We took out the old tub and tile surround and transformed it into a full tile shower with a built-in bench and double niche.
The plank-look tile paired with river rock on the shower floor and in the niches came together really well and completely changed the look of the bathroom.

A couple weeks ago we showed you the niche coming together. This time, we’re taking a look at the shower curb going in. This was the last step before grout!
Just a little behind-the-scenes of what goes into laying tile floors. 👌
Build a niche with us! The penny tile on the back added a nice accent to the shower.

For this project, we’re starting with the shower pans. In the majority of our installs, we prefer to start with the shower pan tile before moving on to the walls or detail work.
The main reason for this is that if you have some joint-width inconsistencies along the edges of your shower pan, setting the walls on top and over those edges helps hide those little imperfections and creates a cleaner-looking finished project.
There are exceptions—specifically, river rock mosaics. With those, I prefer to install the river rock on the shower pan after the walls have been set. River rock sizes can often be inconsistent, which can make getting your starter row for the walls a little more of a headache than it needs to be.
Stay tuned for the finished project!

We always enjoy projects that are a little different. The stacked grid layout was the perfect fit for this pistachio Italian tile, giving it room to really stand out.

This Ozark bathroom got a full refresh! We removed the old finishes and brought in a new look with black floor tile, white shower tile, a custom peak-shaped wall, waterfall accent, and multiple built-in niches. Lots of details in this one that make it stand out.

This was a fun bathroom remodel we recently completed in Springfield, MO! We removed the existing tile and prefabricated shower, then built a custom ADL-accessible curbless shower to better fit the their needs. We installed white porcelain tile throughout the bathroom and refreshed the fireplace surround to complete the space.
