How about some more flooring.

It's a little late in the day but I just wanted to talk a little bit about something. This bathroom has been nothing short of interesting. As you can see there's quite a bit of mold built up, and as far as I can tell about 3-4 layers of wall. An alcove bathtub as seen here is meant to be installed directly to the studs. This allows the tub to be secured and waterproofed properly. What we have here is clearly an example of someone that can do it cheaper... Folks, cheaper is certainly not always better. Some things just cost a little more to be done right. Hopefully the damage is limited to the wall coverings and not deeper.

Had a good time with this flooring this week. We thought it was almost a little dark but it lightened up just perfectly with some good lighting!

Some quick before pictures of this flooring job. It's super important to make sure your subfloor falls within the manufacturers parameters for installation. If the subfloor isn't in decent enough shape to install your product on you'll be set up for failure before you even start. Like painting and drywall, really like anything in life preparation is key to success. Take your time at the beginning to ensure a quality clean result in the end.
