This page exists to help support and facilitate the growth of the Non-Profit Organization LIFT4LIFE which focuses on spreading the sport of Powerlifting around the world to countries that do not yet have it!

A key cornerstone of Lift4Lifeโs work is working with local welders and casters in the making of our racks and plates, to ensure employment opportunities. It isnโt without challenges, including electricity shortages, but through hard work and perseverance magic happens. We canโt wait to see all the gains to come from this new set!

We are excited to host Lift4Life Uplifter Gabriel () in Zimbabwe this week! ๐ฆ๐น ๐ฟ๐ผ
Gabriel is travelling from Austria to host workshop in our communities. He is particularly passionate about making strength training accessible, and will be bringing bands and iPads to the Lift4Life gyms to help with training and education.
We are so excited for the lifting and learning to come!

We are excited to announce this years Alex Burgess Memorial Meet is taking place August 31st in Zimbabwe. A big thanks to the Burgess family for their generosity making this possible. We are honoured to be a part of Alexโs positive legacy through the power of powerlifting ๐ซ
The Zimbabwe Powerlifting Federation event will be full of community, scholarships, and a showcase of athletes hard work and training. The goal is to also use this meet to qualify some athletes for upcoming International competitions ๐ ๐ฟ๐ผ ๐

We love to see collaborations and the uplifting that comes from Powerlifting!
A few months ago The Emergency Project (.project) travelled to Zimbabwe, providing medical outreach to communities. Lift4Life community coordinator Audrey () was a huge factor to the success on the ground, and we are so in awe of everything they accomplished.
A big shoutout to all the medical staff locally and globally that made this possible! We are excited for the future collaborations and outreach to come.

We are working on some exciting projects behind the scenes! ๐ฟ๐ผ
๐ช๐พZimbabwe athletes are currently training hard for African Championships in July 2024. First stop to make this happen is raising their membership fees to compete internationally ($400 IPF fee, $250 African Powerlifting fee).
๐ช๐พWe are currently raising funds to build a new set of equipment in Zimbabwe for community use - the rack costs $480 USD, and plates are $5 USD per kg.

A new powerlifting community created โ

We recently donated another set of powerlifting equipment to Mashoko High School. Of course this also included Lift4Life community coordinator and Team Zimbabwe coach Audrey () travelling 400km to spend time teaching them and inspiring.
Going where i have never been creating memories ๐ฅฐ.
I love every moment with these kids from .
Traveled 400km to visit and teach powerlifting .
It was a day well spent enjoying the company of these kids and always learning something new,different culture, and just experiencing life..
A new crop of powerlifters would come from this school .
Hope to see them compete at the powerlifting event this september

Congratulations to Lift4Life Community Coordinator Audrey who last week successfully completed her Level 4 Coaching Certification from World Para Powerlifting (). She travelled to Malawi to be a part of an exclusive group and learn from the best.
Audrey has been with Lift4Life since the early days, and itโs been amazing to see her grow as an athlete and coach. We are excited for this new chapter and the opportunity to bring Para Powerlifting into Zimbabwe.

Our Holiday Fundraising Campaign is LIVE๐ช๐พ๐ช
Our goal is to raise $1,000 USD through the month of December to support our communities in Zimbabwe. Funds will go towards current community needs, including expanding our gym equipment locally and providing scholarships to youth lifters.

The Ohio State University Powerlifting team returned from this yearโs IPF University Worlds as World Champions! ๐ ๐๐๐
Lift4Lifeโs founder John ( ) has coached the team for 10 years, and the club has been long time supporters of Lift4Life including being a member of our Uplifters donor group.
