Reveille Networking Group welcomed Scott Burns, President and CEO of Montgomery County Food Bank leading the food bank in its mission to unite the community in the fight against hunger. In service of this mission, the food bank serves neighbors more than 90,000 times each month through 100 partner agencies across one of the nation's fastest growing counties where more than 100,000 people experience food insecurity.

Reveille Networking Group distinguishes itself from the many networking groups out there with our service component. We welcome speakers that serve the community and want to get their word out.

Additionally, we serve the community by building 2,000 snack bags for Meals on Wheels Montgomery County twice a year. October 16 will be our Fall Service date to build snack bags. Join us at the meeting 7:30 to 8:30 and stick around to help build snack bags for homebound senior citizens who receive these snack bags through the delivery by Meals on Wheels Montgomery County.

Frank Boyd doesn’t just walk around Reveille with a camera to look pretty. He does it so you can look pretty!!

If you’ve noticed our newest little friend hanging around the check-in table, there’s actually a pretty special story behind him.�

Many of you know Andrew makes care packages for people going through difficult times, especially children. Recently, he started calling one of his kindness efforts Kisses with Kindness. He attaches a Hershey’s Kiss to a kindness card and gives it with a stuffed bear, which he affectionately calls his Kindness Bears.�

And because this is Andrew we’re talking about, a regular bear wasn’t quite enough. He started tinkering with an idea that combined his longtime love of bears with his fascination with lights. When he showed his wife what he was working on, she told him, “You’re extra.” Andrew took that as “extra special,” and after sleeping on it, somehow turned it into, “Oh dear, bless your heart, you’re extra special.” �

And that is how the Bless Your Heart Bear came to be.� This bear has lights, a remote control, his own soundtrack with songs about kindness and some of Andrew’s favorites, and he’s even scented for the season. Andrew created him to represent his kindness efforts, and now Bear is trying out for another very important job... mascot of the Reveille check-in table!�

He’s a little shy, so you may have to get close. He loves being held, sitting in your lap, and apparently that’s the best way to see all the cool things Andrew built into him.�

Now we just need to give him a name! If Bear is going to become part of the Reveille family, we think our members should help us name him.�

We don’t say it nearly as often as we should, but without our technology team, our Friday morning meetings simply wouldn’t happen!

Every Friday, this team shows up before the meeting to get everything ready. They set up the microphones, get the screen ready for our Zoomers, prepare the camera for commercials, record our meetings, upload content to our YouTube channel, and take care of so many things behind the scenes that most of us probably never even think about.

They volunteer their time, show up ready to serve, and bring so much value to our Reveille community. We appreciate each and every one of you and everything you do to help make our Friday mornings happen!

And we could use a few more helping hands! We are looking for volunteers who would like to assist with the technical side of our meetings. If you’re interested in stepping into this role and helping out, send us a message or come talk to us at our next meeting.

All jokes aside, we love seeing these numbers grow because every one represents another Friday you chose to get up early, walk through those doors, and spend your morning with us.

We appreciate every single one of you who continues to show up, make connections, build friendships, and be part of this Reveille family.

Now the real question is... who’s getting to 200 first?!

This Friday is September 11th, and we’d love to fill the room with red, white, and blue as we come together to remember and honor the lives lost on 9/11. 🇺🇸

Reveille has always been about community. We show up for each other, we serve together, and we stand together when it matters. Friday morning will be another opportunity for us to do just that.

So wear your red, white, and blue, bring a friend, and join us as we start the morning together as a community while remembering a day our country will never forget.

Happy Birthday, Andrew Treutle!

We are so blessed to have Andrew as part of Reveille. He is a member of our group, serves on our steering committee, and is a great friend to just about everyone who walks through those doors. At this point, he really is family.

If you know Andrew, you know the kind of person he is. He shows up every Friday with a smile on his face, ready to welcome people and always looking for a way to make someone's day a little better.

What he brings to people's lives is more than inspiration. It's joy, hope, love, and most of all, kindness.

Andrew, I can honestly say Reveille would not be the same without you. Your heart, your experiences, and the way you care for and serve others are a big part of what makes this group what it is.

I hope today you get back a little bit of everything you give to the rest of us all year long.

Happy Birthday, Andrew! We love you and hope this is your best year yet.
