Ginger is one of our senior girls who is ready to be adopted. Are you a little nervous to adopt a senior dog? I can tell you first hand how great senior dogs are. I adopted a 14 year old dog last year and I am so glad I did. Senior dogs are easy going, they enjoy spending lots of time cuddling under a blanket and short walks. Small dogs often live until 15 plus years so take a chance on one of the best friends you will ever have. Ginger gets along well with other dogs. Update- Bibi was adopted

Today, an update from Evie’s new mom filled my heart with so much hope and happiness.

My dear friend Syl Lopez knows how deeply I love the ones who are often overlooked—the scared ones, the shy ones, the ones who need a little extra time to learn that the world can be kind.

Evie and her four siblings were surrendered to K9 Angels during a TESP event. They were frightened and incredibly skittish, having never really known the comfort of human touch.

I wanted to show them something different.

It took time. It took patience. But I never gave up on them.

And today, I get to see what that patience can become. 🥹❤️

Here’s the update from Evie’s mom:

“Evie is adjusting very nicely here. She was very skittish and stayed in her cage (with the door always open) for the first couple of days. Now she is on the couch and sleeps with me every night. She’s having a hard time going to the bathroom outside, but she went outside today with the help of a doggy friend named Izzy, who came over to show her how. They both had fun chasing each other around the yard. She also showed her that it was okay to walk around her little neighborhood to explore a bit because she was a little afraid of her leash and harness. She’s eating well and has her veterinary appointment next month. 💕❣️💞 Thank you!!”

THIS. This is why we do what we do.

A once-terrified little girl is sleeping beside her mom, playing in the yard, making friends, exploring her neighborhood, and learning that she is safe. 🥹

It doesn’t happen overnight. Sometimes the greatest transformations happen quietly, one small step at a time.

Evie is learning how beautiful life can be—and we are so incredibly grateful that she has a family willing to give her the time she needs. ❤️🐾

Remember our sweet boy Prince? We are absolutely thrilled to share that Prince is now named TEXAS and he has been adopted and is now living his best life in Maine! 🏡🥰

And it gets even better… Texas is living with THREE other Homeless Angels alumni AND two other dogs! 🐶

Talk about being surrounded by love!

After everything Texas had been through, seeing him settled into a home with so many furry friends is truly the best ending we could have hoped for. He is safe, loved, spoiled, and exactly where he belongs. ❤️

We love nothing more than seeing our rescue alumni living their best lives — and knowing Prince gets to share his new home with three other Homeless Angels alumni makes this adoption extra special. 🥹🐾

UPDATE ON ROBIN 8/22☹️

Robin’s veterinary visit revealed that he has an undescended testicle and he also needs a dental procedure. Now we need to help him get the care he needs to feel his very best.

We always hope for the best when we rescue these little ones, but sometimes medical issues are simply unavoidable. Every donation, no matter the amount, will go directly toward Robin’s veterinary care and improving his health and quality of life.

This little guy was abandoned at a park and, understandably, didn’t know where to turn. He began following people around, almost as if he was asking someone to please help him.

Thankfully, a kind woman allowed him onto her porch—and as luck would have it, one of our rescue friends happens to be her neighbor! She immediately reached out to us because, well… she knows I simply cannot resist anything that resembles a Chi!

We checked for a microchip—there wasn’t one—and Robin was still intact. We named him Robin because of his long legs and the park where he was rescued. 🐦🐾

Robin is now safely with us and in the process of receiving his full veterinary care. Once he’s completely vetted and ready, he’ll be looking for a loving forever home where he’ll never have to wonder if someone will come back for him again.
