It’s the lessons that turn into conversations. The small wins. The frustrating days. The breakthrough moments. Watching confidence grow little by little and seeing an athlete finally believe in herself the way you’ve believed in her all along.

As an instructor, you think your job is to teach—to correct, encourage, challenge, and help them grow.

But what they don’t realize is how much they give back to you, too.

There are days I walk in carrying more than anyone knows, and somehow a few lessons later, life feels a little lighter.

Maybe it’s the routine. Maybe it’s the relationships. Maybe it’s getting to pour into something you genuinely love.

Whatever it is, I’m grateful.

Proud is an understatement.

This kid here. Every moment is one she wants to be in, and she lives for the opportunity to have the ball in her hand. Her faith in herself is something I truly aspire to have. Her drive to be the best runs through her veins, and watching all of the hard work she’s poured in finally pay off is incredible.

Being moved up, earning Player of the Game and punching her first ticket to the Elite 8 with her team is beyond exciting! There isn’t anyone more deserving. I couldn’t be happier or prouder of you, and I can’t wait to hear every detail when you get back. Keep chasing it, kid—this is just the beginning.
