It's that time of year β€” out with the heavy coats, in with the swim goggles. πŸŠβ€β™€οΈ

If you live in an older home without a front hall closet (it's more common than you think!), a hall tree is genuinely one of the hardest working pieces of furniture you can own. I have one and I just decided to empty it to transition to the warmer weather β€” the amount of stuff it holds is honestly impressive. Also mildly alarming.

Swipe to see the evidence.

This is the perfect moment to do a seasonal reset β€” sort what you actually need (donate the rest), box up winter gear, and set yourself up for spring and summer. Your future self grabbing an organized pool bag on the way out the door will thank you.

The wait is over on the kitchen renovation we shared earlier this month β€” and it was so worth it.

The curved cabinets have earned a few minutes of fame, and that blue oven is the kind of choice that makes people stop scrolling. White and brass throughout, a scallop tile detail behind the range, and an island that can actually handle the entire family.

Light wood with heavy grain and square tile (it's hip again!) in soft green. Add a pebble shower floor and you might think you're at a day spa. This primary bath reno has all the details.

"I can't recommend Colleen, Annie, and the Redbird team more highly. They worked with us every step of the way during our home remodel, including design, furniture selection, and contractor coordination. Our home looks gorgeous and functions beautifully... Bringing them in is one of the best investments we've ever made!" β€” Kate O.

Window treatments are one of those line items that surprise almost every client β€” and costs are only going up. πŸ“ˆ

If you're buying a new home or planning a renovation, add them into your budget for them early. They're a necessity for privacy and light control, not to mention adding that finishing touch.

"8 Design Trends Designers Think Are Finally Back in 2026" just dropped, and my portfolio called β€” it wants credit!

This is a great article (I agree with all these!) and here are highlights of four that I've been living by for a while now:

🌿 Wallpaper β€” Floor-to-ceiling botanical wallpaper in a guest bath.
β˜€οΈ Earthy Warm Minimalism β€” White oak cabinetry, clean lines, warm wood floors, and a stunning painting waiting for you at the end of the kitchen.
πŸͺ΅ Wood Paneling β€” Slat wall + bold landscape art = a moment. This is not your grandmother's wood paneling.
πŸ’‘ Statement Lighting β€” That fluted pedestal dining table deserved a pendant that could keep up. This fixture does not disappoint.

Remember the last post?

Same house, different room β€” and this primary bedroom is bringing the same warm, layered energy with a whole different mood. Dusty blue swivel chairs create a welcoming reading nook by the windows, a walnut headboard anchors the main wall, and the artwork brings just enough color and energy without screaming for attention. A vibrant, one of a kind work of art takes it all to the next level!

Cozy but considered. Calm but not boring.

Neutral base. Rich wood tones. A kuba cloth on the wall and a tufted leather ottoman that somehow ties it all together. This family room was all about layering collected pieces with intentional design β€” two walnut shelving units flanking the room like old friends, a creamy sectional anchoring the center, and just enough pattern and texture to keep things interesting without tipping into chaos.

The goal was a space that feels like it was gathered over time, not ordered from a single catalog on a Tuesday afternoon. Stay tuned β€” there's another room in this house that's just as good.

From honey oak and tile floors to… this. We're past the messy part of the renovation and starting to see things coming together!

A large island fit for this family of 5 is going in and the oversized brass pendants are giving all the right impact. The curved base cabinets are an unexpected touch we're very excited about. It softens the whole look of this beverage center and adds to the flow.

Still a lot of plastic wrap between us and the finished product, but that's the fun part. Stay tuned!

Spring refresh, made simple.

It's the perfect time of year to swap out heavy bedding for something lighterβ€”think linen, a soft coverlet, and fewer, brighter pillows. Small changes, but they make the room feel fresh and you much cooler!

Happy Earth Day! 🌎

We recently designed several rooms for a client who is dedicated to buying from eco-friendly pieces, and there are more options now than ever. When sourcing, we look for materials and furnishings that have low-VOC, are GreenGuard Certified, recycled and FSC-certified. Reclaimed solid wood pieces are also always a great find!

Many of our favorite retailers even let you filter for GreenGuard Certified products, making it easier to create a healthier home.
