No two days look the same around here, which keeps us on our toes! One day we're choosing paint and flooring, the next checking deliveries, taking measurements, installing a counter or talking through design ideas with a client. There’s always something happening!

Behind the scenes of our latest DC townhome transformation!

We are giving this main living space a complete, rich refresh while honoring our client's cherished travel collections. We started by installing all-new engineered hardwood floors throughout and giving the entire space, including the built-ins, a fresh coat of paint. To fix a fireplace mantel that was originally too high, we removed the plain black stone and upgraded to stunning natural quartzite, allowing us to lower the TV placement for a much better layout. We’ve also selected all-new furnishings to tie this unique, warm design together.

Shower doors can often be an afterthought once all the fun tile and cabinetry are installed. But selecting quality glass and working with great installers makes a smashing difference!

I was unpleasantly surprised when this shower door literally exploded while I was gently shifting it back on track. Glass flew in ALL directions. 100 band-aids and hours upon hours of cleanup later, I was back in operation.

When this couple downsized from their large family home into a new apartment, we had a true space planning puzzle on our hands. We worked together to pull from their favorite spots from the house, deciding exactly which cherished pieces to bring, and which shouldn't make the move. We added in a some key smaller-scale furnishings to make the new layout flow effortlessly.

The official start of the ber months means it is legally cozy season in DC. It can be a challenge to make your house feel warm and seasonal without turning it into the Halloween aisle at your local home store.

The secret lies in tip-toeing in slowly...texture over harsh colors or themes. Swap in plush, rich, layered throws on your seating, keep the fireplace as a focal point with a few intentional decor items, and don't overstuff your shelves so they can breathe. We want your room to beckon you in and feel like a big warm hug!

A dream room makeover for this young man! We are honestly kind of tickled with ourselves at this sneaker wall concept.

As kids shift from elementary to middle school, they naturally want spaces that reflect their own style and interests. This room transformed from a young boy's into a cool young man's haven that highlights his love of sports, footwear, and fish.

Between the custom sneaker wallpaper, floating shelves with built-in lights to spotlight his favorite pairs, basketball neon sign, and deep blue trim, this space exudes unique personality while keeping things clean and design forward.

It’s a great time of year to edit your collections and refresh your shelves. Whether your bookcases are custom or standalone, give yourself time to curate what goes on them. Avoid overstuffing—leave about a quarter of each shelf as open space so there space for treasures to breathe. Try layering in small framed art, decor, and books, and group items in threes for balance.

Let's get some drop zones set up for the start of school!

If you're lucky enough to have a mudroom, dedicate some space for the literal dropping of all the things. Get the kids in the habit of kicking off those shoes and leaving their bags as soon as they come in the door. No one expects your mudroom to be camera-ready, so use it for all its worth.

If you don't have a separate mudroom, add a bench with some baskets (one for each person) as close as possible to their entry point. You'll increase the likelihood they'll use it! Hooks at their eye level are great for jackets, small bags, or keys.

Set a low bar!! All we want is for the essential things to land in the same place at the end of every day so you’re not doing a scavenger hunt when you're racing out the door the next morning.
