This week, we’re honoring Juneteenth by uplifting Black joy, culture, and community care. One way to make an impact? Donating Black hair care products.
How to get involved:
- Shop and donate new Black hair products—think Cantuu, Mielle, and Shea Moisture products.
- Drop them off for the Treehouse Store, where youth in foster care can access products that reflect and affirm their identity.
Hair care is more than routine—it’s about confidence, culture, and feeling seen. Together, we can help ensure every young person in foster care has access to products made for them.
Join us all week long as we celebrate, learn, and give back.

A bar of soap. A toothbrush. Clean clothes.
For many, these aren’t small things—they’re everything.
We’re currently in need of hygiene item donations to support individuals and families in our community.
The items that we need the most are:
• Baby/Kids Hygiene (Shampoo, Bodywash)
• Adult Shampoo & Conditioner
• Men's & Women's Razors/Shaving Cream
• Kids Toothbrush & Toothpaste ONLY

For LGBTQ+ youth in foster care, life can change overnight—new homes, new schools, new environments—but education has the power to be something different.
A constant. A safe space. A place where a young person is seen and supported for who they are.
Because when students feel safe, they can focus. When they feel supported, they can succeed.
Stability in education doesn’t just change a school year—it can change a life. 🌈

Today is National Higher Education Day — a time to celebrate opportunity, growth, and what’s possible when young people are supported on their educational journeys.
But the reality is clear: young people in foster care face significant barriers to completing high school and accessing college. The data shows a gap—but it also shows where support can make the biggest difference.
At Treehouse, we’re committed to helping youth in foster care build brighter futures through education, one step at a time.

LGBTQ+ youth are disproportionately represented in foster care. That’s why inclusive, affirming support matters.
Treehouse is working to ensure youth in foster care—no matter who they are—have the resources they need to thrive.
