We're thrilled to share a heartwarming update. Clementine (yes, we named her), the well-behaved chicken who graced our dispatch floor, has found a new home! Thanks to the officer, who kindly offered to adopt her.

Clementine's adventure included a peaceful night at the dispatch and a feast of Chipotle - all without any attempts to escape.

Deer season peaks from October through December. Stay alert and practice these safe driving tips to avoid a deer-related accident:
• Be Vigilant at Dawn and Dusk.
• Slow Down in Deer Crossing Zones.
• Use Your High Beams, when possible, to help improve your visibility.
• Stay Centered in Your Lane if a deer suddenly appears. Maintaining control of your vehicle gives you the best chance of avoiding a collision or losing control of your vehicle.
• Stay Focused on the road and avoid distractions.
• Scan the Roadside for movement, especially in areas where deer may hide.
• Watch for More Than One Deer as they often travel in groups and tend to cross the road in single file.

🍁🦃 With Thanksgiving just around the corner, it's time to talk turkey about travel safety! 🦃🍁

Before you set off to feast with family and friends, take a moment to ensure your journey is as safe as the destination. Here are some tips to help you on your way:

Early Bird or Night Owl? Plan your departure to avoid peak travel times. The roads are quieter and the journey smoother.
Check Your Nest: Give your car a pre-trip inspection—tires, brakes, and fluids should all be on your checklist.
Weather the Storm: Keep an eye on the forecast and have a plan B for bad weather.
Pack Like a Pilgrim: Travel with essentials including an emergency kit, snacks, and plenty of water.
Tech-Savvy Traveler: Update your travel apps to get real-time updates on traffic and road conditions.
Rest for the Weary: Make sure you're well-rested before driving, and take regular breaks to stay sharp.
Keep Your Beak Charged: Have a charger handy to ensure your devices don’t run out of juice.
Don’t Wing It on the Road: Drive sober and remain vigilant to ensure you and your loved ones arrive safely.

🎃 Happy Halloween, Everyone! 🎃

As we all gear up for a spooktacular night full of costumes, candy, and fun, let's also remember to keep it a safe one for ourselves and our little ghouls and goblins.

👻 Safety Tips for a Safe Halloween 👻

1️⃣ Add Reflective Material or Tape to Costumes: Make sure you and your little ones are visible. Use reflective tape or material on costumes and treat bags to make you more visible to drivers.

2️⃣ Carry Glow Sticks or Flashlights: Light the way and ensure you are easily seen.

3️⃣ Look Both Ways When Crossing the Street: Always make eye contact with drivers before crossing in front of them.

4️⃣ Use Crosswalks and Follow Traffic Rules: Go only in designated crosswalks and obey all traffic signals.

5️⃣ Cross Streets Only at the Corner: Use traffic signals and crosswalks whenever available and don't jaywalk.

6️⃣ Never Cross the Street Between Parked Cars: It makes it harder for drivers to see you.

7️⃣ Trick-or-Treat in Groups: The more, the merrier—and safer. Larger groups are more visible to drivers.

Have a fantastic and safe Halloween, everyone! 🎃👻
