Join us on December 11th at with Portland’s own Paul Reid () at the upcoming GlobalPDX Development Drinks.
Paul will share his firsthand experience aboard the Global Samud Flotilla, a 50-vessel aid mission to Gaza that was intercepted by Israeli forces. Reid, who began the voyage across the Mediterranean in late August, was detained along with several hundred others before returning safely to Oregon. He was part of a diverse international delegation that included Greta Thunberg, Mandla Mandela, former Barcelona Mayor Ada Colau, and several European lawmakers.

GlobalPDX is excited to support and for
their event during ! They’re hosting a special screening of Force of Water
followed by a dynamic panel discussion focused on women’s leadership in climate.
With international aid shrinking, communities on the front lines of climate change are taking
matters into their own hands. Force of Water follows two communities—one in Ecuador and one in Uganda—as they mobilize to build their own piped water systems. Their journey is a
testament to resilience and grassroots leadership in the fight for water access.
