Our friend Jay asked for a custom do everything commuter bike to upgrade from his Long Haul Trucker. Jay chose the 𝚂𝚞𝚛𝚕𝚢 𝙱𝚒𝚔𝚎𝚜 Straggler frame with a custom set of wheels that includes a dynamo hub. Getting ready to light up the dark streets. Portland Design Works fenders, Velocity USA Blunt rims SRAM Road Apex Eagle drive train. Enjoy your new commuter Jay! 💚

Fall bike spot check!! Timothy Lake. Just south east of Mt. Hood. Approximately 1.5 hours from Portland. Tons of camping. To avoid crowds I recommend Little Crater Lake Campground (open till end of September. (But double check before heading out). Pine Point Campground at Timothy Lake is open for a few more weeks. Clackamas Lake Campground closed seasonally today. If you park at the Historical Clackamas Lake Ranger Station, you can hop on the Miller Trail heading counter clockwise. Then the Headwater Trail, connecting to the Timothy Lake Bike Trail. The Old 1916 part of the Timothy Lake Trail parallels the Pacific Crest Trail P.C.T. The PCT is a sacred hiking trail and is hiking only. Do not ride your bike on the PCT. It ain’t PC. The shrooms have popped and the bows are jumping. Hit it up before winter hits.
Recommend a Mountain Bike or a low geared Gravel bike. None of the climbs are intense or long. Thanks!
