Breadwinner Cycles

In the spring our friend asked us to build him a new version of the multiple award winning Roaring 29er that put on the map in 2007. Timing was right to take the time to apply new skills, techniques, tools, and materials to this modern classic. There is a special feeling to riding a bicycle like this. Inspired by a 1920s Elgin balloon tire cruiser, it looks to the past, but is planted in the present with modern drivetrain, dropper post, and disc brakes. It turns heads and draws comments from other riders and reminds us of all the joy that bicycles have brought to so many riders since their invention only 150ish years ago. Got out for a few laps at on a beautiful Saturday with my son, Oscar. He just might be a little faster than the old man now. Trails are in great shape and the Bad Otis and Goodwater were ripping it up!
