It's Summer which means our weekend hours are changing! The main library will be open on Saturdays from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm through August 29, and closed on Sundays through August 30. The Huguenot Children's Library will be closed both Saturdays and Sundays through August 30. You can still access all of our online services and our catalog at the link in our bio!

It's a Pollinator Party! Celebrate Butterflies, Bees and Plants

On Saturday, Jun 27 from 11 am to 1 pm join the Garden Club of New Rochelle and Healthy Yards New Rochelle in the Children's Garden at the NRPL for National Pollinator Week!

Activities include:
- Meet a beekeeper and see live honey bees!
- Native planting project!
- Live painted lady butterflies!
- Butterfly wings craft!
- Seed packet, magnet, & sticker giveaways!

Space is limited and tickets are required. Please pick up a ticket in the Children’s Room the morning of the program.

On Saturday, June 20th join the Garden Club of New Rochelle for a day of garden clean-up and planting at the Huguenot Children's Library. Volunteers will be reshaping the gardens and planting new plants. Please wear gloves, bring your favorite gardening tools, and wear gardening clothes and closed-toe shoes.

Happy Pride Month! Check out events this weekend!

June is Pride Month, and on Saturday, June 6 at 10:00 am we're hosting a fabulous, fun-filled storytime with Drag Story Hour - Hudson Valley! Special guest Angel Elektra is back with books, songs and a craft that celebrates inclusion, diversity and individuality.

For children 3-12 years old and their families. Tickets are required to attend. One ticket per family. A child must be present to receive a ticket and to participate in the program. Tickets can be picked up from the Children’s Room the morning of the program. Space is limited. First come, first served.

As our nation approaches its 250th anniversary, community members of all ages are invited to write or draw their hopes, dreams, and wishes for America’s future.

Wishes gathered in New Rochelle will join thousands more being collected across the country through the national Wish Wall initiative coordinated by Made By Us .
