After those first greetings at the airport, students and their host families head out into their communities. Luise from Germany and her Illinois host family were out and about, with the family seeing their town through new eyes. Everything is new for students at the beginning of the year and they're taking it all in!

Today we have a to 2025's Friday Night Lights! American football and Friday evening games are new to almost every PAX exchange student. They participate as spectators, cheerleaders, and even players. It's a really fun introduction to American culture!

There are lots of fun and games at the beginning of an exchange year, but there is also some work to be done. This Texas group spent a day with their PAX coordinator doing their orientation. The students will spend time with their coordinator throughout the year, getting to know one another, sharing their exchange experiences, and learning more about Texas and their host community. A great start to a great year!
