A crowd showed up today to practice for next weeks NSR Can-Am championship
A lot of testing and tuning happened.
We did a practice, qualifying event, and ran a round Robin race
Everyone then returned to the bench for some more work and I'm sure next week Thursday and Friday will be busy before Saturdays early morning. Start at 7 o'clock for practice.

Motown is adding the following capability for controller hook ups
We are adding an optional XLR plug if you so choose.
We used them at the Amsco race in Ohio, and feel it is beneficial as it eliminates all the controller hook up issues, popping a fuse, etc.

We will also be applying it onto the blue Hill climb track so we can change over all the rental car controllers to eliminate those hook up issues
You will still be able to use your Clips if you wish, but I feel that most drivers once they experience it would desire to switch over to the XLR plugs
Motown will be offering service which will include plug-in labor shortly, but it is easy enough to do on your own

We are working on some changes in the announcing booth area, and added capabilities for changing scenes manually, and adding a few more cameras.

Trophies and plaques are being designed and created.

I am very excited for the Can-Am race T-Shirt, and we have added sleeve logos of NorCal, and the U.S. Flag on sleeves, along with this years Logo on Front pocket and back.
We went for a vintage look in design, to represent an older era. I will release the pics of the shirt in a few days, and take Pre-orders. All sizes, from youth sizes to 4XL, can be ordered.

Reminder we have a FREE practice race next Saturday May 30, for those intererested in sizing up where they are, with Qualifying.

This race will be open to paid REGISTERED racers for this race, so please register now to participate. You can of course register at Motown also.

UPDATE!!
As the 500 green flag is at 9:45, we will be open at 9:30, so you don't have to miss the start of the race

Being that tomorrow is the Indy 500, along with a NASCAR and Grand Prix races,we felt it necessary to open with our style of racing also. . Everyone can come in and enjoy watching races on TV !!!!!!!

I've decided to OPEN tomorrow on Sunday 5-24. We will open at 10am-4pm

If you are still in town and can bring the family over to hang out and do some fun racing and watch races

I wanted to take a moment to express my thanks to all our racers for supporting Motown since I bought it in 2024. I have worked very hard to update areas I felt needed, and added excitement to your racing where I could.

Many more exciting events and updates are planned, to continue to make Motown a place for Families, recreational racers, and of course serious racers, to all feel welcome.

We are here to support your hobby, and that means we carry the parts you ask for, across all 3 types of racing we do, 1/24, 1/32, and Drag Racing.
