San Francisco Randonneurs

101 riders showed up to ride the SFR Spring Del Puerto Canyon 200k in just awful weather. I don't know how they did this (or why), but they suffered through sunny skies, light winds and temps in the upper 60sF. These people must have a screw loose.

Following in the footsteps of the Davis Bike Club in 2003, the San Francisco Randonneurs have been recognized by the Audax Club Parisien as the club with the most finishers at Paris-Brest-Paris Randonneur 2023. SFR had 73 finishers (out of 95 starters) who overcame the early heat last August and cross the finish line in Rambouillet, France after 750 miles of riding, all in less than 90 hours (with some of those SFR members riding the course in nearly 50 hours).

Standing tall after a rainy DART Populaire ride

Hope everyone dried out after yesterday’s soggy, but spirited SFR DART Populaire 120km. Congrats to all who participated.

There are a thousand reasons we have for why we do these crazy long rides. Add one more.

It's called the Adventure Series for a reason. None of these riders were expecting pony rides in May sunshine. All of these riders finished completely cratered. With stories to tell.
