Yesterday, we were contacted about an itty bitty pittie in need of placement. One of our fosters was quick to offer to snag this baby girl and give her a place to crash. We’re so glad we were in a position to help as these weeks are so critical to get her on the right track for socialization and vet care. She’s already having a blast with the human kiddos in her foster home. Although tiny, our new gal is full of s***k! And can we talk about that precious nose?!

🚨Adoption Alert!!🚨

Tupac joined us in March as a transfer from one of our rescue partners who had bailed him out of a puppy mill. It didn’t take us long to figure out that the only thing more adorable than his face was his personality. He joined a loving foster family, but immediately caught the eye of another foster in our network. After arranging a meeting with Tupac and their dogs, we knew he had to stay in the PLP fam. He transitioned into their home last month and we’ve had a front row seat to see him living his very best life ever since. 🥰

Biggie joined us in March as a transfer from one of our rescue partners who had bailed him out of a puppy mill. This adorable French man had a very unique look with his non-traditional floppy ears. We knew it wouldn’t take him long to secure his perfect family. We received one app from a family with an awesome pack that we were sure he would fit right into. Biggie joined his new family last month and has settled in just as we expected. We miss that adorable face, so be sure to keep us posted on all of your adventures!

Chopstick Update 🥢🥢

Our handsome buddy is doing very well. He is so loving and will offer free kisses to everyone he meets. He loves to roll around town in his stroller, but has also become more mobile inside the house. He’s not letting anything get in his way, not even a paralyzed back end. We’re just about through the 4 week precautionary period and we’ve seen no signs of myelomalacia thus far. In the near future, we’ll be looking into options to increase his mobility to give him the best quality of life. One thing is for certain, this guy is a total doll and deserves only the best for his future. 🥰

Happy tails for your hump day….

Ava joined us as an owner surrender due to no fault of her own at around 4 months old. She was puppy perfection and we couldn’t believe she didn’t get scooped up immediately, but good things take time. We received an application from a great family who met a few of our dogs, but Ava was the one to steal their hearts. It didn’t hurt that she matched their current boy either. 😍 What a pair! We can’t wait to follow along on all of their adventures. Keep in touch, sweet girl!

Flossie joined us in February from a crowded local shelter where she turned up as a stray. Her larger than life personality and toothy smile were sure to attract the perfect family. We received an app from an awesome guy and a full house of family members to love on our queen. You can see from their adoption photo that Flossie absolutely found her pack. Our beautiful girl looks so proud and we just love this for her. We’ve already seen plenty of updates and can verify that she’s living her best life.

🚨Adoption Alert!!🚨

Graham joined us in March from a crowded local shelter where he turned up as a stray. The shelter noted some facial swelling, and we were fortunate to have a foster step up so we could pull him and get him in to see our vets. When our amazing vets checked him out, they determined that what was originally thought to be swelling was likely just an indication that there was some sharpei in his DNA. 😆 By then, Graham had charmed his way into his foster mom’s heart and she knew she was hooked. She signed the papers several weeks ago to make him an official part of the family, and we couldn’t be happier for them both. We can’t wait to follow along on all of their adventures!

As they say, sometimes no news is good news, and in Chopstick’s case that’s very true. Sadly, his MRI showed extreme bruising of his spinal cord that not only ruled out surgery, but also put him at a 50% chance of developing fatal myelomalacia. The four weeks following his diagnosis were crucial, and we’re happy to report tomorrow will be two weeks and he’s hanging in there. He’s been resting, adjusting to his foster home, demanding his foster mom share her food/drinks, and started on meds to get his icky skin fixed up. The next two weeks are important so please send all the good vibes his way. Although he’ll never walk again, we promised him a cool set of wheels 🦽 and we’re pretty sure he’s going to have all kinds of special requests. He is a frenchie, after all. 😂
