Rwanda Rise

Our students are surrounded by instructors who don’t just teach—they care. ❤️

Their love, encouragement, and commitment to each student create an environment where students feel seen, valued, and inspired to succeed. And that care is returned. Our students pour themselves into their studies, working hard to learn, grow, and build a better future.

It’s this mutual investment that brings about incredible success and fulfillment for our students and staff!

By learning a marketable trade, graduates of Hope Vocational Training Center gain the skills they need to earn a sustainable living wage—and build a brighter future.

In just one year of intensive study, students can earn a certificate in one of our vocational programs. And the results speak for themselves: 85% of graduates find employment in their field of study.

But the impact goes far beyond a job. Employment restores a sense of dignity and purpose while creating lasting, positive change for graduates, their families, and their communities. ❤️

We recently sent our Director of Operations and a valued partner to visit our campus in Rwanda. Our students did an amazing job showcasing their work and demonstrating their incredible progress in their vocational training during the visit, and we couldn't be more proud. We are blessed to see the care of our instructors and dedication of our students as they work toward a bright future!

More pictures to come! 👏🏽

✨ At Rwanda Rise, our mission is to equip young adults—especially those living in poverty across Southeast Africa—with practical skills that lead to lasting opportunity.

Our Hope Vocational Training Center is located in Rwanda, on the edge of the Kigali metropolitan area, where the capital city meets surrounding rural communities. Since our founding in 2008, more than 5,000 students have graduated from six vocational training programs, 🎉 and today they are working and serving in communities throughout Rwanda and beyond.

On behalf of the staff and the students of Rwanda Rise and our HVTC campus, we thank our donors and partners for helping us do this vital work.

Today, nearly 400 students are on campus, training for meaningful careers in auto mechanics, culinary arts, hairdressing, masonry, sewing and tailoring, and welding. Many arrive carrying the weight of poverty and uncertainty, but something powerful happens here. Confidence grows. Skills emerge. Dreams take shape. 🙏

When students graduate, 85% step straight into employment or start their own businesses—transforming not only their own lives, but their families and communities as well.

As a faith‐based nonprofit, we believe this is God’s story unfolding, with the community of our faithful donors and partners helping make so much possible for these young adults. We invite you to continue or become part of this journey with us—by giving, investing, praying, and believing in what’s still to come.

We mentor. We equip. We encourage. We prepare. We pray. We laugh. We cry. We serve. We restore dignity. We lift one another. We walk together. We create community. We build confidence. We build futures. We open doors. We create opportunity.

In short...
We educate. We nurture. We train. We sing. We dance. And Rwanda rises.

As Rwanda Rise continues to grow and expand our campus, we remain rooted in our mission to empower students to discover their gifts, pursue meaningful work, and step into a brighter future out of extreme poverty.

THANK YOU for being part of this journey, and we humbly ask for your prayers for our students and the consideration of your financial support as we seek to enroll more young Africans in our vocational programs. We invite you to become a part of something profoundly meaningful as young lives continue to be transformed.
